Kurt Angle Claims He's Debuting In MMA Company

Kurt Angle appeared on WOCM in Ocean City, MD this morning for five minutes. During the interview, Angle said he has been clean from pain pills for about two years now and said he made more money for WWE than any wrestler over the past six years.

Angle then went onto say that he likes TNA more than WWE because it's more of a wrestling show than a circus act. In what was the most interesting comment during the interview, Angle stated that he is going to start soon with the EliteXC (Elite Xtreme Combat) MMA group and that he will be doing both wrestling and MMA. Seeing as Angle has been known to say some pretty outlandish comments in the media in the last few months, we have no confirmation that he is actually going to work for EliteXC at this time.Kurt Angle

If Kurt trained for 6 month to a year you could be good but I don't know if he will pass a medical exam with his screwed up neck.

If kurt really serious to compete in mma he should do that 8 or 10 years ago, when he still in his prime.

Its funny on how everyone hates...If you a true mma fan, you would love to see him fight...if it to get knocked out or win the match...yea he is old so...but eveyone has to act like children, just because he was a Pro wrestler...and on WWE and now wrestling is gay (same thing goes for Brock), there nothing but hate...just be happy the sport is where it is...until he screws with the MMA or plays us all for fools....Just wait and see...the dude looks crazy...but when it is all said and down....will all learn something from it...Remember this, if you cant hold the jock strap...then shut your MOUTH!....Im a true MMA fan, I dont hate, I respect!...Pride this, UFC that...shit its all fighting just enjoy it! and stop fighting like children...this goes for all posts!

It's not the fact that everyone is hating, its the fact that Kurt Angle has waited far too long to be serious about competing in MMA. His body is completely banged up yet he still is jumping off ropes and crap like an idiot. Like Clint said... I'm not sure he would be medically cleared. Brock Lesnar actually decided to get a good amount of training under his belt first and at a decent age. He's not running his mouth like Kurt is because he respects the fighters more and is staying humble.

Yep you are right, but fighting is fighting.....If you feel like your at there level...shit Angle through some names out there....would you rather make money and losing to a big name or a nobody? Remember its all marketing... people say he hasnt trained but pro wreslting is no joke, those guys work and take pain...they never get the repect of hard tough workers....peace im done!

He still hasn't trained though. Yes Prowrestling is hard but it's not fight training. Lot's of things are hard and wear on your body but he still needs to learn striking and submissions (atleast defense) to not be tooled.

i'm sure kurt can bring alot of attention good bad or otherwise to any promotion that would have him. his window of actually being able to grow into a worldclass mma fighter is long closed. and even with a tattered baody his still a very good technition i'm sure. maybe he wind's up with exc, they like to use names to promote-the headlining fight for their first show has 2 of the oldest names in mma-i actually think kurt would be a very good addition to the hybrid mma promotion that kimo is apart of. kimo and angle in a wreslting soap opera with a real mma fight at the conclustion would be very markertable.
