mark hunt is ranked too low on most internet rankings out there, they will update the rankings after the next PRIDE show and well see if they move Hunt up

Rankings will never be perfect and it will always be up for debate. Even if all these guys are uner one organization, it will be hard to determine the ranking without people complaining about it. Vera needs to fight someone in the top ten but that is hard to do when you're in the UFC and it looks like we'll never know where he stands in the rankings when he makes his move out of the UFC.

idk maybe it has somthing to do with that hunt is 290 and they figure him being more of a superheavy then a heavy, or maybe it has somthing to do with he has 5 wins and 3 losses

2 of those wins were against Wanderlei Silva, and Mirko Cro-cop, and one of the losses is Fedor Emelianenko, and thats just what I can think of off the top of my head. dont just look at records, Hunt's fought alot of quality opponents. But I agree him being a superheavy is why he's off alot of lists.

Yea, somthing needs to be done about that. Vera hasn't had a fight with a top 15 HW, so he is not top Ten IMO.

Yeah, Hunt is 5-3, and his two impressive wins were split decisions. Hell, one of them (Wanderlei) was against a guy who is 75 pounds lighter than him, so thats not even that impressive (plus its a HW ranking, and he wouldnt be allowed to fight as a HW in lots of organizations). Vera hasnt fought anybody, but he hasnt lost either. So, it is really a subjective issue and not that big of an outrage.
Aleks has yet to beat a real big name also, and has some losses. I dont know, but I would guess that the rankings came out a bit after his last lost to Werdum, so they might have dropped him more than you would think due to a recent loss.

im not saying he is lower because of 5-3 im just thinking of reasons of why it could be like that, records really dont mean much, look at randy he is a great fighter. i was just saying maybe thats why and i agree his fight with wandy wasnt that impressive seeing he was alot bigger, but it makes wandy look great, well what am i saying wandy is great

i think ranking are created based on your wins not the caliber of the opponent. The LHW division for example, the top 3 can be number ones, unless Chuck beats both Shogun and the Axe Murderer he can say his number 1.
