Mickey's Has Nice Cans

Sometimes I even crack up myself when I write these headlines.

(And yes, I know I’m the only one.)

Anyway, I got a sneak peak of some new collector cans that are being produced by Mickey’s. The malt-liquor beverage company, which is the official beer of the UFC, has decided to honor three UFC superstars with its 24-ounce cans.

The upcoming cans — which feature UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell, welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and former champ Rich Franklin — should hit stores in the next four to six weeks.

I thought they turned out great. And by my count, it’d take three Liddells, two Franklins and a St. Pierre to get me nice and ripped for UFC 68.

Who the F drinks Mickey's Malt Liqour. How about a cross-over with Billy Dee Williams, UFC and Billy Dee for smooth Colt 45. It could be Rampage and Billy Dee, drinking Colt 45 pimpin' hos.

I forgot where but I actually saw these guys (Mickey's reps) making their sales pitch about this exact idea to Dana on one of the clips I saw. I guess it went though okay. Am I the only one who hasnt drank this thing? How does it taste? It would hav ebeen cooler if they went with good 'ol budweiser or one of the mainstream beer cans but I guess UFc wil take it for what its worth.

I'm a keystone light guy but as far as malt liquour goes... Mickey's is like Champagne. They are hard to find in Western New York tho. However, those will be key to bring to a house party. You would immediately be every dudes mancrush for having such sweet cans

You weren't delusional, I actually posted a video that CNBC did on the UFC at the end of last month. It showed clips of them pitching the idea to Dana White with the cans as well as other footage of course.

I can't say it's not kind of cool, because it is. The artwork certainly looks good. But man, when I picture someone holding a Mickey's Big Mouth I have this image of a mustachioed man named Don from Alabama wearing a sleeveless shirt and screaming epithets at his television screen in the living room of his double-wide before returning to tell you the story of his high school football championship where he scored three touchdowns in a single game. No offense to anyone from Alabama. Or nascar fans in general.
