Rampage looked damn good, wasn't breathing hard and was taking it to him.
No doubt in my mind he will beat Chucks ass...AGAIN.

Rampage
You have to admit Rampage was not impressive.
If you look at all the posts on this forum before the fight, everyone was saying how Jackson was going to demolish Eastman. Most of the predictions were for a first round knock out. However, the reality was that the fight was close all the way to the knock out, and now suddenly Eastman is such a skilled fighter. If Eastman were so good, then no one would have made these predictions. And, indeed, if Eastman had a weak chin, then someone of Rampage's skill, i.e. a world class fighter, should have had no trouble with him, either taking him down or knocking him out.
At very least, Rampage needs a few tune-up fights before he faces Chuck.

I think Rampage will beat Chuck again. He doesn't overthink and adjusts to who he's fighting. That's what he did with Eastman who in my opinion is a good fighter.

I was curious to see how these new Pride fighters would do, changing from a venue that didn't test for performance enhancing substances, to one that did.
Herring performed poorly, Jackson at best was mediocre, but Crocop and Silva both looked good.
You have two kinds of fighters: skill-type fighters, like Silva, Nog, Couture, Parysian, and a few others, and you have athletic/power-type fighters. Now, I'd put Rampage and Herring in the second class. The second class is the type you'd expect to juice, to keep their competitive edge.
Now, I'd be the first to admit that this is insufficient evidence to accuse anyone of anything. So, I'm not. But it does make me wonder.

wtf?? lol how can you put Rampage in the 2nd class.. your calling him mediocre just because it took him a round to KO Eastman so I guess Chuck Liddell is 3rd class cuz it took him 4 rounds to KO Horn?

I have to agree with Afro here. You gotta give Rampage a pass on that first round, it was his first one in the biggest Org in the world. He had nerves, he got over them and he KOed Eastman. To me the second round might as well have been the first cause I give the guy a chance to get comfortable. He will be even better in his second fight. He will lose his third though.

I think Eastman's biggest win, other than against Rampage, was Vernon White, whom he also lost to. Most people I think would say Horn is more well-rounded than Eastman. And Horn has beaten Josh Burkman, David Loiseau, and Dean Lister. He went 3 rounds with Anderson Silva and Renato Sobral. But that doesn't matter, really.
The question is whether Rampage is a strength-based fighter. Considering his favorite move is slamming his opponent on his head, I'd have to say that he is. In his first fight in Pride, for example, he slammed his way out of two submissions that Sakuraba had caught him in. Admittedly, he was bigger than Sakuraba, but still, that requires some athleticism.
I really don't want to start a dogfight. Time's going to tell if Jackson can play with the big boys. But, if he doesn't....
