Tito wants a belt really bad

I heard from Stephan Patry (The manager of Coté and St-Pierre) that the UFC want's the winner of the next HW title fight between Sylvia and Couture to face Tito Ortiz in the next title fight.

I know it's sound crazy but because they don't want to rush crocop or Arlovski in a title fight to soon, it's almost the only fight that's make sens for a Pay per view.

Poor Tito he doesn't understand when to quit :banghead:

its totally ridiculous that Dana White gives people like Tito Ortiz and Randy Couture title shots so quick, both after losing their previous fights. Dana White is just playing favorites and not letting the fighters who are #1 contenders a shot at all. its not fair that tito and randy get to cut the line both losing by TKO's in their recent fight. he should at least maek them climb the ladder again.

WTF?

Why would Tito get a shot at the title??? He loses in LHW and now gets an automatic shot in HW????

I know there arent a lot of competitors in HW besides CC and AA right now that are title worthy but cmon. If anything if you wanna throw someone in there before those two have Mir fight Sylvia if he wins and hype it as a big rematch and have Mir fight some can on the same PPV as Sylvia nad Coutrue???

Tito at HW hmm. I wonder if he could handle it. He'd probably fight at what....220 230 this would be interesting for me cause if he stays at LHW he would have to eventually face RAMPAGE and what a shittalk fest that would be but Tito would lose the fight. So why not move him up to HW and let him fight Coutoure or Sylvia big names sell PPV's. Tito vs. Coutoure II would be good to see coutoure toss tito around like a bitch again. If tim sylvia wins We get to see Tito fight tim and that would be fun to see IMO. but I kinda like this idea.

rampage vs. tito would never happen because they train together. possibly the reason he moved up to heavyweight

I would like to see a second fight between Mir and Sylvia so he can't break his leg this time. That way Sylvia will be out for a couple of months and we can finnaly see some real HW action.

But I've got to say that a second fight with Couture (If he win's) and Ortiz could be a big snoorfest or a big spanking competition

The problem is that there is no real order in the HW division at the moment. There isn't really a number one contender: Vera won't sign an extention, AA has lost 2 in a row to Sylvia, Crocop needs fan exposure before a PPV would sell like it should.

i woudl like to see a fight between CroCop and Sylvia so he can kick his arrogant cocky head off his 6 foot 8 body. that way Sylvia wont ever put everyone to sleep with his boring fights waiting for the counter so we can see some real fighting.

But I've got to say that a second fight with Couture (if he win's) and Ortiz could be a big waste of time because they both would get there washed up asses knocked out by CroCop because he can, just like when he dropped Josh Barnett and Wandy in one night ON HIS BIRTHDAY

Worked for BJ Penn...BJ can tell you, if you can't win a title in your current weight class, move on up to the next one and immediately challenge for the title.

And the very thing that folks on this thread are complaining about - Dana arranging shots for folks based on factors other than objective contender status - is exactly what BJ Penn has benefitted from a few times and for which I am flamed when I condemn

For that reason I find this thread amusing...
