i dont agree with UFC trying to get rid of Timmy. Timmy with the belt is boring as fuck, but Tim was a HW champ. unless they get ridiculously fat and wander through small stages (Ricco), the UFC always has a place for their champions

well the thing with tim is that he's boring and he's not a draw, but he can beat big names so other promotions would have him. pride would buy him up, and if not pride then elite xc or strikeforce or ifl. being a former champ with a record as good as his and fighting out of MFS will guarantee him a contract almost anywhere. also, if he goes to pride, he can start juicing again and be exciting again

i think it depends on how cro crop does v sanchez, if he wins but doesnt get a devasting knockout or completely pound the guy, they'll give him another fight before a title shot to try and build him up more for fans who dont know who he is

i think alot would depend on how tim the decisionater losses, if it's a controversial (sp) loss then i think tim would, and should get an immediate rematch. he might not be popular, but he does win, if they can do it for aa, then they should for tim as well.

The answer is: MAYBE.
If Sylvia defeats Randy next month, then there is little doubt that Cro Cop gets to kick off Sylvia's head immediately. Why? Because Sylvia is an unpopular champion who many fans want to see defeated. And Cro Cop can deliver this.
However, what if Randy defeats Sylvia? NO WAY is Cro Cop getting a shot immediately, because not many fans want to see Randy get roughed up. UFC wants to build Cro Cop into a big star in the States, and beating up a legend and fan favorite such as Randy is not going to accomplish that.
So, what happens if Cro Cop wins and Randy wins?
Who does Cro Cop get next? My guess is another can.
Who does Randy get next? My guess is AA.
This would enable Randy to lose the HW title, but not get destroyed. Randy could then retire, and AA can be built up to be "the invincible pit bull" again.
AA vs. Cro Cop then is a great matchup. The new invincible HW in Cro Cop vs. the Pitt Bull.
No matter who wins that matchup (though cro cop should), the HW division now has two great heavyweights who can duke it out for the belt.
Thoughts?

If Randy wins
AA vs Randy HW Title
Sylvia Vs Cro Cop (#1 Contender)
AA vs Cro Cop World Title
That's the way it should go.

I think Cro Cop will fight Sylvia regardless of whether Tim loses to Randy or not.

If Randy wins and they wanna give him a can, give him Herring. After the performance HH but on the other night, Randy'd eat his lunch. Not that Herring would deserve a shot, but did Quarry deserve one when he got Franklin? By the way, where the hell is Brandon Vera?

If Anderson Silva can come in and get a title shot 2nd fight in a much more stacked weight division, why wouldn't Cro Cop?

because Leben is and was much more accomplished in the UFC then Eddie Sanchez. Eddie is like 6-0 with 1 win in the UFC against Sucata, who was also on his first fight. Leben was like 15-1 with 5 wins in the UFC.
