i think its going to be a fireworks show between him and scoot smith. i won't call a winner in this fight. but cote needs a win or he could be out of the ufc for awhile. i look for him to wind up in the wec and being a contender there.

Cote is a better fighter than he appears to be, its just a string of bad matchups.
He made his debut fighting Ortiz on about two weeks' notice, lost that razor-thin decision to Leben, and then his lack of ground game got exposed when he fought Lutter. He just gets bad matchups, and possibly doesn't train right for them.
Still, I look for Smith to pick up the victory.

I just noticed that he beat Jason MacDonald last March in MFC...man he must be pissed seeing how much publicity MacD is getting now...but hey that what happens when you win.
Anyway I see him getting the win against Scott, Scott is strong and a obviously a warrior, but Cote has more game overall.

Cote is the favourite in the betting odds, but I think Smith has shown more skill so far, and that'll give him the win here.

Cote will kick Smith in the head and while Smith is spinning/falling (KO'd) his arms will fly up and smack Cote in the chin and KO him and Cote will hit the mat first and Smith gets the win.
Realistically, Cote by split decision.

I think Cote has a lot of potential. He has a granite chin and heavy hands. Lutter has bulldog like ground game and bullied Cote. I dont think Smith has the same abilities. Smith has good stand up though, and a lot of heart. It will be an excellent fight no matter what.

this fight is gunna be a war! i think it is the perfect fight to open up the show. thee guys are gunna stay standing as long as possible. once Smith continues to dominate Cote on the feet, then Cote will try and put him on his ass...guaranteed. WAR SMITH!!!
