Melvin Guillard (Pictures) has been forced to withdraw from a fight against Ohioan Dustin Hazelett (Pictures) scheduled for UFC 67 on February 3 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Guillard, a rising lightweight star, suffered an apparent hand injury that will prevent him from competing.

Ken Pavia, the agent for Guillard’s replacement Diego Saraiva (Pictures), confirmed to Sherdog.com that his charge will indeed take Guillard’s spot against Hazelett. This will be the first UFC contest for the Atlanta, Georgia based Saraiva (9-3-1).

Hazelett (7-3), who had won four-in-a-row before succumbing by submission to Tony DeSouza (Pictures) in his UFC debut last October, will be making his second trek to the octagon.

He broke it once on TUF but before that when he was telling all the other fighters how tough he was he said something like "you dont break your hand 9 times punching soft"
(i just put the number 9 in because im not sure what it was)

dont really bother me because i dont really like the guy. I dont think he is as good as everyone is making him out to be. He has skills but i dont see him being champion.

melvin seems like an exceptional athlete with ko power...but i havent seen much talent out of him aside from natural athleticism and good striking..does he have a wrestling background? i dont watch him much so who am i to say anything
