I've gotta answer your quote with part of mine.

The fight was stopped and Tito stayed on his knees for just a moment then ascended to his feet without effort.
The fight ended and Tito manned up. Tito showed respect to his opponent, he acknowledged his defeat, he told the world Chuck IS the best on the PLANET.
So, my question is (I acknowledge as mentioned above I wasn’t there, and that I may be planting a seed of doubt) was Tito’s last kick effort, this last ounce of effort, the final moment the fight ended – at this point was it a WWE pre-choreographed moment?????????
Watch the fight again, and then again.
If I’m full of $H!+ so be it.

Thanks for your input.

Well that's even more reason to raise a doubt about the ending. That just doesn't sound like Tito, does it???

Yamasaki is typically the type of ref to stop the fight early so, after Tito took the shot that caused him to lose his footing, I thought the Ref was going to stop it but, let it go... I swear, Dana pulled Steve aside and said... don't stop this one too early dude!
Also, in the replay, Tito made his last effort to put some distance between himself and Liddell only after the ref stepped in. Prior to that... he was just turtling up and taking a beating...
Great fight though... I don't know how Eddie Bravo thought that Ortiz won the 2nd round.

Yamasaki's call was, in his mind the right call. I'm not questioning the ref. You and your buds watched on PPV, replays while I only had Video, that I could only stop, start, reverse, slow mo, inhance, enlarge and slow reverse.
BTW were any of you or your buds consuming alcoholic beverages???? (Just Kidding)

I read the thread at this point and I can see why you would have doubts, however IMO Tito tried at the end because he knew it was do or die at that point. From the position of the Ref I would assume it was taken as to little to late. I have questioned some of Yamasaki(sp) past decisions, however I felt this was a legitimate call. Tito rolled onto his side and did not attempt to better his positioning(push off Lidells hips, pull guard, anything), If I was a ref and saw that many unanswered punches I would stop it as well. I believe originally Tito did try and devolop a character much like a WWE actor would acquire the "heel" role. However I dont think Tito or Chucks PRIDE would allow such a thing.
