Default Ufc 66

First off I would like to say hello to everyone.

I have been reading the boards for a few weeks now and have decided to speak about the show I will be watching first at New Year, UFC 66.

I just want to do a quick predictions and see if anyone agrees with me.

(BTW, I got into MMA with the UFC pre-TUF days so don't immediately attack me for liking some of the TUF guys, Thanks)

Anthony Perosh Vs. Christian Wellisch

Have seen both these guys lose in their UFC debuts, were both pretty unimpressive, I take Perosh to win this.

Yushin Okami Vs. Rory Singer

Haha, Okami because Singer isn't very good. Okami beat Kalib Starnes previously, whom i consider better than Rory, simple as that

Carmelo Marrero Vs. Gabriel Gonzaga

Marrero to win this

Tony DeSouza Vs. Thiago Alves

Should be an absolute War, i'm going for Alves to win this, but DeSouza hate to fight more than one rund

Eric Schafer Vs. Michael Bisping

An absolute squash for Bisping, I think a knockout in round one but possibly will go to round 2

Jason MacDonald Vs. Chris Leben

I really like Chris Leben, yea his fighting skills are not top notch but he is fun to watch. Macdonald looked shar against Herman so I'm going with Macdonald although I won't mind if Leben wins

Andrei Arlovski Vs. Marcio Cruz

The Pitbull returns with a demolition over poor Marcio Cruz

Keith Jardine Vs. Forrest Griffin

Forrest Griffin will win this fight. I like Forrest, the guy admits he isn't a great fighter buts puts on a good show who is improving

Chuck Liddell Vs. Tito Ortiz

Love him or hate him, Tito is a tremendous athlete. However, Chuck is simply too good for him. I really want Tito to win but Chuck will knock him out in round 1 or 2, if the fight lasts any longer then look for Tito to get the take down and Punish Chuck on the ground

I will be back online in about 12 hours to see how many people agree with me/welcome me to the forum/absolutely tear me to pieces

Cheers

Welcome. Your pics aren't bad. I see it a little different:

Anthony Perosh Vs. Christian Wellisch

Wellisch by split decision.

Yushin Okami Vs. Rory Singer

Okami by total domination, because he might be one the most underated middleweights around.

Carmelo Marrero Vs. Gabriel Gonzaga

Gonzaga by TKO. Marrero is a good wrestler, but unlike Kongo, Gonzaga can actually stuff a takedown attempt.

Tony DeSouza Vs. Thiago Alves

Alves by TKO Rd. 1. Just a feeling.

Eric Schafer Vs. Michael Bisping

Bisping KO Rd.1 Schaefer is solid but Bisping is too good of a striker.

Jason MacDonald Vs. Chris Leben

Macdonald by submission Rd. 2. Leben is too 1-dimensional.

Andrei Arlovski Vs. Marcio Cruz

AA by decapitation in 12 seconds.

Keith Jardine Vs. Forrest Griffin

Jardine by split decision in a knock-down drag out brawl.

Chuck Liddell Vs. Tito Ortiz

Liddell by KO Rd. 1. -- approximately 9 seconds after Tito's third failed takedown attempt in a row.

Welcome to the last MMA Forum you will ever vist.

As far as your predictions, I would tend to agree with most of your picks. Only ones i disagree with would be Forrest/Jardine and Leben/Macdonald. I think Jardine is just too well-rounded of a fighter for Forrest, he will own Forrest on the ground and his standup is much crisper and effective. I think Leben's heavy hands will be Macdonalds undoing.
