I'm expecting fireworks early and often....speaking of fireworks, even though this is something related to UFC 67, MMA Weekly reports that Scott Smith and Patrick Cote would fight each other on that card. Let's see, two aggressive middleweight strikers with knockout power, yeah, I see no way this fight can be anything but sheer greatness and excitement.

There is no guarantee, look at the Cote vs Dewees fight, Cote utilized gnp to win that fight eventhough Cote's standup was far superior, Smith is a good striker who will stand until someone gets dropped, Cote is not the same type of fighter, he did that against Leben but did not do that against Dewees and Dewees is not a very good striker at all so that tells me that Cote is wanting to stack wins and if that means taking fights to the ground, he will do whatever needs to be done to insure a victory.
Cote will still come out and look for a KO but will not hesitate to takw the fihgt to the ground if he needs to or see's an opening, I donlt see this fight being as exciting as it's potential.
