Rumor!!! UFC 69: GSP vs. Diego Sanchez

It looks like Diego might be taking Matt Hughes' spot on the UFC 69 card, since he wants a few fights in between a rematch with GSP. Diego is the logical choice and I guess the UFC thought the same. Should be a good one!

this would be awesome but dana's already said hughes is after serra. personally i think hughes should fight once before getting his rematch, but i dunno if that's gonna happen

Diego will get worked. GSP is one of the most well-rounded fighters in the world (I mean top 3) and is one of the best fighters pound-for-pound. Diego is an interesting fighter and he's quite a character, but he's way overmatched when he steps into the ring with GSP....

This is dumb. If Matt wants another fight before GSP, then why don't Matt and Diego fight for the 1# spot. That makes the most sense and gives the UFC future rematches (which they love so much)

Agreed. Deigo and GSP are both young and will be fighting eachother many times over the next eight to ten years. They might as well start it off the right way. I can't believe I am going to actually have to pay to see Diego fight.

Because since Diego and Matt are such intense fighters they could get hurt and leave GSP with no one to fight and I think Matt said he didnt want to fight in canada that it was to soon
