To be honest I don't believe Matt should have to fight anyone before GSP because of his dominance over the last few years. But, if GSP wants to destroy Deigo I would welcome it with open arms. The only thing that I would rather see is Matt beating the dogshit out of Serra. I REALLY hope to see that no matter what...

This is accurate. I won't repeat it.

Plenty of times I imagine, since mma is often fairly unpredictable.

One that springs to mind though, was the Bisping v Shaffer fight scheduled for the TUF finale. Bisping himself had told many people about this on several forums, and it was common knowledge in the mma community (well, the part of it that doesn't take mmaweekly as gospel), however MMAWeekly subsequently announced it as rumoured for the PPV right up until it was actually announced by UFC.

GSP won't lose to Diego or Hughes in Montreal.

Yeah Diego's gonna have to work harder than he ever has in order to take the belt from GSP in his home town. This is gonna be a huge test for Diego but I've learned never to bet against him. I almost want to see him win just to see all the excuses and bitching on this forum in the aftermath.

One think to think about if this goes through.

How will this affect GSPs training? For his last fight, he trained with some of Jackson's boys. This likely will not happen, considering that Diego is a Jackson fighter.

No...I don't see how sexuality tied into the comment I made. Close the porn window and type with both hands for a second. haha jk. I just like hearing excuses. I'm a huge B.J. Penn fan, but when Matt Hughes beat him, there was no excuse. A broken rib is an element of a fight that could come up at any time on any fighter, and as soon as it happened to B.J, everyone used it as an excuse. If it would have happened to Hughes, everyone would either say "tough luck" or "he's probably faking the injury."

Anyway, with this fight set (if it is) who do you think will fight Matt in the meantime? I think the best bets would be Josh Koscheck or Karo Parisyan. Both of whom would be challenges, but would also be fights I could see Matt winning. I'm no fan of Hughes, but I believe he is just head and shoulders better than Kos and Karo.
