Yeah, if the prez remained in tact, then I think Dana would still do what he does best. If he and the Fertittas packed up and left, I doubt the UFC would stay on the same track, but not necessarily flop.

I saw a poll on the front page that said "was danas announcement up to the hype?"
I didnt get to see the whole show so I was wondering......what was it?
Is it just that the Silva/Irvin fight is on for 7/19?
I didnt want to search through the whole live discussion thread to find it.

I think by announcement it meant the announcement that Lorenzo was quitting his $113M/year job to help run the UFC day to day with Dana push it further.

Is Amir dropping to WW? i looked on Wikipedia and it says Amir is fighting at ww on the ufc 89 fight card.. i know wiki isnt reliable but i was jw

i was thinking bout my ? about amir moving to ww and would it not be best for him to stay at MW to see how he does and if he loses move down like swick?

Are the rule changes about no hands over the face and mouth official yet and have straight up and down elbows been made legal now?

I kinda figured during the show that both Amir and Matt Brown were very small and would move to WW when the show was done.

nope. Those were effectively suggestions. It is now up to the actual athletic commissions to decide whether or not to change their rules in accordance.
