I disagree. I think Kung Fu can be used practically. The problem is, the best practitioners are more set on the philosphy, and they are stoborn and not acceptable to change (because they would need to incorperate BJJ and wrestling.)

Yeah it looks pretty inaffective to me. If that was a wrestler or Muay Thai fighter either of those tards would have gotten their asses kicked. It's obvious the ganster had no clue how to fight (even street fight) and the white kid was about a foot taller and about 40 pounds heavier. The "Kung Fu" kid had to take about five swings before he finally connected.

Kung Fu = not much better then not knowing anything at all.

there is a reason why most people use the same techniques such as boxing, kickboxing, muy thai, wrestling, and grappling. its not that they cannot use it but they use what is the most effective in a fighting situation. i fought this guy who kept asking me to fight him because he was so good at tkd and kept saying that his martial art was better then mine. im not trying to disrespect some other martial arts out there but his fighting style didnt matchup well with mine which many mma fights use. now he is in muy thai and bjj and has realized what really works in fights.

How about Judo.... Dont hear many fighters that have a background in it until Sokoudjou came along who is a Judo champion and KO'd Lil Nog and Arona.
