The main reason he gets so much hype as a top tier fighter is simply because his opponenets have not been able to show he is anything but top tier. Vera has ridiculous trainers(Rob Kaman, and Lloydd Irving), and fighter w/ personality. Something a lot of fighters are lacking. I wont say he is the best(he has not had enough fights IMO to wear that mantle, besides Fedor is wearing that quite nicely at this point), but I think he will be.

fact is right now he is the top contender in ufc, dont understand why all this fight aa, if he beats aa then cool if he looses who is next for tim, not aa were not going to see a aa tim 4, so let vera fight for his title and if he beats tim which he will then he can fight aa, if aa wins, plus i think its cool because deigo said he is going to be the first undefeated fighter to win a title looks like vera is going to beat him to that

Im no vera nut-hugger by any means and i do beileve he deserves the next title shot ONLY because the UFC HW division is so weak but seriously out of all them fighters i dont consider any of them " A" level fighters, shit some would be lucky to make B, but if he beats Tim i'll give him a whole lot more respect. Quick question though...what happens if vera losses??? Everyone is still gonna hate sylvia and who would vera fight to try n make it back to the top? or will he drop down and get his teeth knocked out by chuck?

i think beating silva in the first round qualifies as a quality win. Esp. considering if Tim didnt cheat theres a good chance Silva wouldve been fighting AA this summer and not Tim  |
