I'd have to say the return of Frank Mir was pretty disappointing. A loss to Pe De Pano in his first match back, a very unimpressive win over Dan Christison in which he gassed badly, and had he been in there with anyone other than Dan, he would have been ktfo, and then his loss to Brandon Vera. Frank Mir used to be my favorite fighter, but definitely isn't anymore.

one of my biggest dissapointments for the year had to be the fashion the ufc re-established it's lw division. they set up the title fight too fast imo. just when things were heating up between a lot of really good fighters. still so much to be determined.
florian vs. sherk. i'm still puzzled

AA is prolly the biggest disappointment.....Hughes didnt have a great year either once he fought good fighters....riggs wasnt on his level and gracie was washed up by the time he fought hughes...he got lucky against penn and got domolished by GSP...

What are you smoking, The OWPG as a whole was one of the best events in MMA History, Aleksander Emelianenko, Barnett,Hunt,TK1,Werdum, Overeem, Nogueira,Cro cop, Fujita ,Wanderlei Silva all in the same Tournament.
UFC can't even compare all the 2006 PPV's to Pride's OWGP.
