FUCK KOSCHECK.
i lost my first sig bet to his bullshit diving turtle and lay and pray, the UFC's retarded point system that supports it.
how can you get a 30-27 off of 4 takedowns? he was getting picked apart standing, he did NO real damage with his smother attack.
goddamnit

Tons and tons of Kos hating, I said he was a contender at WW, he dominated rounds 2-3 and secured the victory. His wrestling is phenomenal, Joslin had a great guard and that saved him a lot of punishment but he still ate elbows in rounds 2 and 3 and at the end of the fight, Kos had 0 damage to his face and Joslin was battered.
If Kos fights Diego, Kos will dominate the takedowns, I am just not sure if he can survive 3 rounds at Diego's pace but he was still fresh after 3 rounds with Joslin so we will see what happens.

completely agree. kos had no damage done to him because hes better than people give him credit for. Joslin couldnt stop his takedowns as no one else can against Kos. Kos cut him and could have done a lot more damage.
yes his style is boring and he really needs to work on his standup but a win is a win and he will get better hes still just learning.

This is just another example of why I hate the rounds rule. Koscheck got saved by the bell when Joslin was finally securing his triangle choke. I hate seeing fighters saved by the bell. It takes away from the reality aspect of the sport but, oh well, they are here to stay so I have to just see them as part of the sport. Damn, though, I miss the good old days of no rounds fighting.
And Koscheck will always revert to the lay and pray when he gets in trouble on the feet. As long as the ufc judging keeps rewarding lay and pray artists with decisions they'll keep doing it. I want to see Koscheck fight a top ten welterweight now, I like joslin but if Kos is going to be ranked in the top ten, ahead of a more talented and exciting fighter like Nick Diaz, then he needs to fight top ten guys.

Kos is still learning, gotta give him some time, he's not contender material yet, but he's one hell of a take down guy. I say put him in against BJ Penn. The best take down defense against (possibly) the best takedowns currently in the UFC. It may give Kos a loss, but he will learn from the submissions and how to protect against. And it will be a challenge for BJ.

How the hell is Kos a challenge for BJ? Takedown or no takedown, Kos is a fucking joke compare to BJ. Stop giving Kos credit when he doesnt deserve any. Giving these no talent fighters any credit makes Dana want to put out more crappy TUF fighters on TV. Koscheck should have been kicked out of UFC long long time ago. He is boring and has no skill other than taking people down. The boy should join hammer house, so at least he can master the GnP aspect of fighting. He is a crappy fighter and a boring one. I cant think of anyone who is more boring than he is.

F'ing Matt Hamill. UFC is wasting their time trying to build that kid up to something. At least Tim Sylvia stands up and strikes....maybe?

This match up made for a boring fight because of this:
Striking: Joslin > Koscheck
Takedowns: koscheck > joslin
Guard: Joslin > Koscheck
Ground Control: Koscheck > Joslin
All of these things = boring fight, because Koscheck is just going to take Joslin down because he is getting outstruck, when on the ground Joslin had such a good guard Koscheck couldn't do anything to him, however Josline was outdone by Koschecks physicality so he couldn't escape.
I think Koscheck has improved a lot, but he needs to learn that if you are going to take someone down you need to work past a good guard and GnP or get some submissions. At least work for a damn arm or something.
I think he is a B- fighter. Jon Fitch would tear him up and Diego would too.

I really hate seeing fighters using the cage to defend against armbars or any other moves. It adds to the disadvantage the pinned opponents already have. there were two occasions when Joslin would have fisnished by Armbar if Koscheck didnt use the fence to block it. UFC is made for GnP. Too bad there are too many one dimensional Gnp guys in the UFC.
