GSP Vs Hughes 3 April 7th
looks like alot of things have been answerd now, we were all wondering if matt would wait or have another fight, looks like matt is waiting until april 7th and he will be getting his rematch without having to fight anyone else, like i posted on the other form, it sucks for other ww's because it looks like gsp will be fighting serra then not fight again until hughes , sucks for any other ww because earliest they get a shot is june or july , and the source is
http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Fighting/U...769827-cp.html
i took the source from Ronin he posted it on his thread about canada

Hughes vs St. Pierre on my b-day, what more could I ask for?
I hope the card has Cro Cop, Herring and Rampage on there as well.

Hughes v. Pierre III is going to be a great fight. If recent events are any indicator, the UFC might have some other great names to add to that card as well. It's already looking like a decent card, and it will hopefully only get better.

Meh, GSP made Hughes look like a B level fighter, he really kicked his ass. I think hughes should have to have at least 1 fight before he gets another shot at GSP. It's also funny how everyone just assumes Serra is going to lose (I also think he is going to get destroyed by GSP) but it's just funny.

If Serra get's GSP to the ground, he could win, but I doubted.

What would happen if Hughes beat GSP in this match? Especially if its a close match, I think GSP would deserve another crack at the belt but that definitly wouldn't happen for a while after as they have to give the other WW's a shot at the title.
And yes, GSP will dominate Matt Serra.

i think the UFC gives rematches way too early, even if they do deserve it.
they should let GSP defend against Serra and one other person after that, and Hughes should have at least 1 fight before the rematch.
even if the bouts are highly anticipated, like half of the UFC's main events are rematches.
but what do i know...

When GSP lost to Hughes he had to fight Sherk, Miller, Penn and Trigg just to get another shot and Hughes loses and he doesn't even have to fight 1 other fight!? That's a bunch of BS

GSP didn't hold the belt for years before he lost to Hughes the first time. GSP's rematch and Hughes' can't be compared. That said, Hughes is probably going to get schooled again. How much time does this give GSP to train in between fights? I know very little about how much time is required to train adequately. Will he have enough, or is Dana trying to get the belt back on Hughes ASAP?

Hughes needs a fight in btw. and st.pierre should have another fight after serra. it puts alittle more distance from gsp hughesII and it gives GSP a chance to establish himself as champ for alittle longer.
