Well if things go the way Mir would want, that would equal an immediate Heavyweight title shot, likely against Sylvia (expected to beat Monson) and they have a perfect storyline to play off of for a "Countdown" Spike TV special or PPV pre-show. And Mir is one of few recognizable UFC Heavyweights, so you know it's going to happen. The credibility of a win over Vera, the back story with champion Sylvia who has no challengers in the thin UFC Heavyweight pool, and the marketability of both guys. You got your next Heavyweight program. And even though many don't have either north of #5 on your overall top 10 MMA Heavyweight lists, kind of like Ortiz-Shamrock I think because of the star power of the two in the limited HW division, and the story, it could probably be a pretty big deal business wise. At least considering the other options UFC has 205-265 lbs.

Sorry to the Mir fans but this isn't the fight you see a storied book comeback for him.
Ur right Mir has never had good cardio and has been known to be lazy in the gym. I remember before the Freeman fight it was documented that he barley trained in London and wen t right into that fight, and it showed. I hope Mitr doe3s good, just cuz his subs are like no other in the UFC and he is fun to watch fight.

I was at the weigh-ins today in Arco. There were no good staredowns really. Damn near everyone booed Matt Hughes when he went up to the scale. Some dude kept yelling at Frank Mir calling him fat. Ron Goldman said that Joe Rogan isn't going to be at UFC since he has a comedy gig to do. Dean Lister does a pretty mean Borat impersonation. The Crow was there, it was nice seeing him support GSP even though his contract was torn up, I thought it would have been a little awkward for him.

The video can be found at UFC.com just search under weigh in or something and there's a link on the results page.

This is DO OR DIE time for Frank.
He needs a win.... or re-evaluate what he's doing for a living.

Hey Killer, when Vera dominates Mir in this fight, will you finally recognize him as the fighter he truely is or will you make excuses as to why Mir blew it? LOL! It's about time you recognize Vera for the fighter he truely is.
