pride vs. k-1

just wondering which is more popular or well liked
in japan pride fc or k-1?
i know pride sells out at the saitima super arena every now
and then but i think k-1 is just more popular to the average
japanese.
i know my bro likes k1 because less of ground game
what do y think?

K-1 is much bigger in Japan then Pride. K-1 is the mainstream event while Pride seems to be more for the hardcore fan, but they both do really big shows over there.

K-1 is definitely bigger. Although last year PRIDE's NYE show beat out K-1's for the 1st time ever. PRIDE needs to get another TV deal in Japan to continue to challenge K-1, especially now that they have Sakuraba.

yea hes money in the bank over there....wha kinda show did pride have over there ? like a highlight show

They show the actual events on regular TV over there. It would be equal to the UFC being on NBC, ABC, or CBS over here. They probably do some kind of highlight shows from time to time too. Not positive though. The thing is right now PRIDE has lost their TV contract with Fuji TV. So there are trying to find another station to carry their NYE show.

they lost their tv deal do in part to there alleged ties with the Yukazans(can't spell).
