Well I can't say I'm surprised that Werdum subbed Aleks. It's one of the ways I saw the match going. This will boost Werdum up the HW rankings a bit. I don't think it drops Aleks much though because Werdum is a legit top 10 HW.

i was kinda hopin Aleks would win though just to make himself look good with all the UFC talks going around

Yes, I don't know what happens now. Aleks is now the 6th best PRIDE HW behind his brother, Mirko, Barnett, Nogueira, and Werdum IMO. He may even be behind Hunt, although I think he would be able to take Hunt down and submit him. I wonder if UFC will be as interested in him now. |

i think they would still be interested becuz they cant get the other top 5 fighters. those guys seem to wanna fight fedor and will probly get a shot. aleks doesn't wanna fight him, wont fight him, so ufc gains either way. unless dana's arrogance fuck this up, we'll c aleks as new ufc champ, instead of guys like imes, christison, or schall. i wouldnt mind seeing mir as champ tho.
