Who benefited when Chuck went over to Pride? Yeah, Pride was talked about it openly during UFC events while this was going and that may have given Pride some free promotion but wasn't it UFC that asked Pride to accept Chuck in their events? If that was the case, who knows what UFC was thinking. But if that was the case, Pride doesnt owe anything to UFC and Chuck going into Pride to fight wasnt some favor that was given to Pride by UFC. |

well, it just seems like the ufc was the last one to try to make something happen. i don't know who owes who.....but they really need to do something and quit being a bunch of bithes. |

It is my understanding that Chuck wanted to test himself in Pride. This was when UFC wasn't as mainstream as it is now. My thought is that if Chuck won the Pride GP, UFC could claim to have the best fighter in the world and it would be good promotion for UFC.
Anyways, yeah, they need make the fights happen. But then, it wont be happening for awhile so we can only hope and dream.... |

sorry for the stupid post, just hopeful i suppose.
Would be event of the century, seemed to me at the real deal that they were trying to give the idea that we might get to see wandi and chuck, might be a stupid thought.
Just hopeful thinking, i'll keep the fingers crossed anyway, if not maybe wandi and shogun.

Hey, at least you were men enough to admit that this wasn't the best of threads. I used to get ton of props from my professors for admitting that I didn't know something while giving out presentations. Big props for admitting your short comings. Keep posting. it would be awesome if something like this can happen in 2007 but i dont think theres a chance. i'll say theres a 97% chance that we dont see netihing happen like this for a while
but thers always that other 3%

At least you can admit that you're just being hopeful. Quick question though. How can you justify calling a potential UFC vs Pride the event of the century?? You're not really giving the last 94 years of this century much credit.
