Faber is a good choice. Personally, not to take away from Griffen's recent win cuz I still think he's a stud, but it really was a early stoppage. Bang was still defending himself and he wasn't dazed at all. Someone with as much experience as Bang, should have been given more time.
To answer your question though, Melendez is the fucking man. Melendez just has a tight game, he puts all the different elements of the game together well, which is why he's so exciting to watch. WAR MELENDEZ!

Calling Rory Singer the next Jason Thacker is a bit extreme. I don't think that Rory is UFC calibre by any means and is very sloppy. But to say that he is on the same level as Jason Thacker is just naive.

Anyways, Tyson Griffin isn't the future of the UFC LW division. This is as mind boggling as Rory being the next Jason Thacker. One fight and you guys jump to complete extremes one way or the other. Rory wins but not very impressively (even though it was a KO lol), he's as bad as Thacker. Griffin gets a controversial disputed stoppage against Bang, he's the best thing since sliced bread. Go figure.
Shields is a good one though.

actually i was calling Tyson prior to the Ludwig match. he defeated Faber, thats another guy who hasnt had the exposure yet. And in all fairness wether controversial or not, not a bad showing for a guy bumping up from 143. and Boone shitty argument on Ludwig not being a LW, thats his actual weight and well if anything you're refering to a guy bumping down
and about Rory, well yeah thats too much. i mean at least Thacker made the Gymnastics team in Canada and can work on saturdays
fighters i feel need a shot at Pride or UFC ( been in K1 though, in red)
LW: Kid, Tyson, Faber, JZ Calvancanti, Melendez, Clayton G
WW: Kikuchi, SHields
MW:
LHW: Patterson,
HW: Junior Silva
that i can think of

I can't believe I forgot about Shields. Mike Pyle and Devin Cole are also solid up and coming american fighters that have never fought in the UFC or Pride. Pyle did get KO'd quickly in his IFL match but before that he was on a pretty good roll. Another fighter you could add to the list although he has K-1 experience is Melvin Manhoef.

Mike Pyle is another good one. Kikuchi too.
LA get outta here. I'm not denying Griffin has promise, but you can't call him one of the best fighters never to fight in UFC or PRIDE based off a "win" against Bang Ludwig. Bang is good, but he's still for the most part a one dimensional fighter and to my "shitty" argument, keep in mind someone coming down in weight doesn't automatically put him in an advantage. Dropping 15 lbs. down to a diff. weight class isn't automatically a plus. Other things besides strength and size matter in MMA. Don't be so naive. Especially with wrestling experience like you have, cutting weight isn't always a good thing. Bang has been fighting 170 for most of his last fights, so he's not a natural 155'er. And his other notable win is against Faber. I haven't seen the fight so I don't know if it's an impressive win, as again it takes more than a win on paper to mean anything you have to actually know the fight - and I'm willing to bet you haven't seen the Griffin/Faber fight. Of course to defend your argument you'll come back saying you did, either way Faber is a 140 lb. fighter so that's not really a DEFINITIVE statement.
Now just like w/ Rory-Thacker where I keep pushing the argument because I don't understand why people claim Rory is as bad as Thacker off of ONE fight, that he WON by KNOCKOUT. Same on the other side when Griffin gets a controversial stoppage against Bang, a fight 4% of the world seen and the 4% that did the camera angle sucked so you can't tell anything. That doesn't mean Griffin isn't a good fighter, but you guys are saying he's going to come in and take over the UFC LW division based on the strength of that, and the Faber fight which I'm sure none of you who pump Griffin's name have even seen.
Lot of bandwagon action going on around here. Lot of followers.
