Vera HW and LHW Champ

After a while and when he improves and if he ever does get the hw title, do you think dana would give him the lhw champ without fighting any other lhw, and lets say he does win both belts how would that work, i know its alot of what ifs and this and thats but how would that work, i know he couldnt hold both belts for that long seeing how he would have to be fighting all the time and if he got hurt then its 2 belts that are sidelined for a while, so if he did win them both im sure he would fight one of 2 fights with them and give one up it would be the smart thing to do, like i said i know its alot of what ifs,

I'm not sure how holding two belts would work....but I'm sure Dana wouldn't have a problem with it if that's what Vera wanted to do. He'd be fighting a lot more then the average fighter, but it'd be quite an accomplishment if he managed to do it.

Dana I believe would support an attempt, most likely because it would gen be short lived. To hold one belt for any length of time is difficult. To attain and defend regularly both belts would be insane. Constant training which IMO would allow for more injuries. After a hard fought title defense alone there is normally a need for medical time off. I just dont know how feasible it would actually be.

vera would not hold a hw title very long as long as arlovski is still in the ufc. i could see him getting the belt from tim (or who ever else holds it)....but arlovski is hungry and will regain the title. i don't see vera beating chuck either (though i DO think he would fair great in either division). it would be a while before he holds both belts

yeah im not saying he would this year or let alone next year i was just trying to figure out how he would do it , imo if he did get both belts he would give up probally the hw , because he wouldnt really have to prove anything by keeping them both he proved it by winning both at the same time

vera is a good fighter but he still has a ways to go to impress me..he hasnt fought any big name fighters yet

i think he can do it, just not hold them for a long time, i think if he wins them both, he will just give one up, or he will find out he cant do it because i agree unless he is going in there and ko'ing or subing everyone in under 2 minutes then he is going to need some recovery and having 2 belts would meaning figthing at least every other month if not more

I dissagree, Vera is a more technical fighter than AA and has better standup as he has low, mid and high kicks as well as punches.

His looks are deceaving, he is very strong and his wrestling and BJJ are great right now and will become phenomenal IMO.

I think he indeed is "The Truth" and the UFC is going to hold onto him for dear life.

I also think he would beat Chuck as well because he is a well rounded fighter. His standup would keep Chuck having to be carefull which would open him up for the takedown should Vera choose to take it to the ground and once there, Vera would rape Chuck on the ground, there is no question about it.

I have see Vera wrestling and grapling matches, he's phenomenal.

The hype riding Vera is justified.

As far as him actively defending 2 titles in 2 different weight divisions, there is just no way.

He would have to master the art of fighting at 2 different weight classes only a few months apart each time, I think it would effect his strength and quickness not to mention get him sick a lot as that is not healthy to fluctuate in weight so frequently.
