I'm really surprised that they didnt give brandon a shot already seeing how week the hw div is, well monson deserves it more but after he dismantles mir he will be next in line.

Anticipation breeds excitement. We will never get the fights we want soon enough....and that's what keeps us interested. Believe it or not, if we just got what we wanted to see all the time we would get bored with it and go find a new toy to play with. Trust me on this one...it's better to wait for quality. It makes it that much more bad ass when it finally does happen.

We'll see what happens Mir vs Vera, If Mir could get back to 90% of what he had been before almost loosing a leg in the bike crash. he can beat vera and that would put him #1 to challange the winner of monson sylvia. but it doesn't matter monson/sylvia vs vera/mir are the only fights the UFC have left at the HW division worth anything, those 4 plus AA are it. and AA won't get another shot for the belt until someone else has it. I just with the mainiac would leave MMA and go join pro wrestling with the other freaks.

At the time Mir was fighting at HW in the UFC it was a really shallow pool. He looked dominant against some b level opponents. I dont believe he ever fought Ricco or Rizzo, his best wins where Tank Abbot and Pete Williams(crazy shoulder crank though). He lost to Ian Freeman. All in all I believe he was the best at the time, but the division has devoloped more depth w/ Arlovski, Vera, Cruz, Monsun. And Monsun would submit Mir w/ relative ease. C'mon lets get real.

i would like to see monson beat tim. vera hold the belt eventually, and arlovski destroy vera to regain the title!!!!

i think vera will be taking mir out, even if mir shows up 100% mir is going to have a real hard fight on his hands and just dont see him winning

I'll be surprised if Vera gets past Mir ,but even if he does he won't be able to beat Sylvia or Monson.Vera is very supercilious imo and I'm surprised he has so many fans.He hasn't done anything that impressive yet imo.

Vera will TKO Mir in the 1st round. Fat Mir will show up again and gas half way through the 1st round.
