I have seen some tough Russian chicks called Amazons of the Black Sea or something fight and they are really good. They are actually not to bad looking and wear G-Strings.

Laila Ali would KTFO some chicks for sure.

I'd watch it.

I only ever saw 1 female MMA fight. One lady did basic ground and pound, lefts and rights to the face of the lady on the bottom who had no real skills. It was kinda sad to see. The ref should've stepped in immediately. It was obvious the lady on top was a much better fighter than her opponent.

there are some female mma and kickboxing bouts @ some of the local fights here in co. the few fights of them that i have seen were, alright...but kind of sloppy and low paced. one of the kickboxing chicks was kinda bad ass though. i hate to sound sexist, but i think that it's kind of parallel to female boxing. you have one really dominant bad ass fighter like leila ali(sp) which is kinda rare to come across...... and then a bunch of average chicks that couldn't touch her even with their lifetime of training.

Laila Ali is a sham. Once she finds the balls to face off with Anne Wolfe, she's gonna get her sh*t pushed right back up her narrow ass.

By The Way, There Are Plenty Of Females Into Mma. I Have Trained In All Different Types. I Am From North Louisiana And Not A Whole Lot Of Great Training Here. My Husband Has Been Fighting Sonce He Was 11 In The Smaller Stuff And Then In To Larger. We Really Enjoy It And Just Found Out Last Night That Next Month They Are Opening A Gracie Jj Acad. I Cant Wait. The Only Down Fall Is There Arnt Many Female Fighters So I Am Praticing With Mostly Men. And As Far As Butch, No I Not. Been Married For 6 Years. Karate And Kickboxing Since I Was 6 And The Only Time I Layed Off Training Was To Have My Baby. She Is Now 4 And Has Just Finished Her 1 Month Of Kickboxing Herself. Its All Been Great

I think KOTC has only had one female MMA fight so far. It was Thricia Poovey vs. Rebecca Sweeney. I dont know if they gave any consideration to starting a division or where they went with it after that fight though.

Japan has some very entertaining Women's MMA fights- in Shooto with Megumi Fuji, the DEEP women's champion Hisae Watanabe is a brutal striker, and even a full MMA promotion dedicated to women's MMA in Smackgirl.

The reason that women's MMA could never be successful in the US is evident throughout this thread

You got your kid kickboxing at age 4? Wow! Start em young, that's the way to do it.
