I take it you didn't watch Lesnar beat Couture last Saturday night... maybe I'm worng and Lesnar just so fucking skilled compared to Randy and didn't have to use his athleticism and size to win that fight.

I think what Palma is saying is that GSP's off the charts stamina and strength allow him to cut some corners when it comes to technical fighting; for example, he doesn't really have any formal wrestling pedigree, but his ability to quickly get and then drive through a takedown attempt is undeniable. And outside of having a solid jab and good kicks, he isn't exactly a technical muay thai fighter. And in terms of BJJ, he is great at the top game, but like in all facets of MMA, we don't see much of him working on defense. Taking all that into account, its fair to say that GSP isn't a "technical" fighter in the true sense of the word

I was going with Georges simply because a win should get him a fight with Anderson Silva, but unless he takes a wicked shot to the jaw that he doesn't see coming I think he beats BJ. His strength and wrestling will see him through. Not to mention his height and reach advantages.

BJ has shown that he can compete with larger opponents, but he hasn't beaten them all. He lost to St. Pierre once and I can see that happening again. I do believe that we'll see a much better fight this time as both of them are improved versions of themselves.

Second of all every fighter has weakness including bj Penn and that's the reason why bj says he has improved to this day and is continuing to improve.. So your saying every fighter out there is not technical because they have holes in their game? So gsp holes which are his head movements and his takedowns etc. means that he has no technique? So you admit that gsp wins fights against skilled and technical fighters based on his athleticism and nothing more?

My roommate has really gotten into MMA over the past few months, and we watched GSP/Hughes 3 and Penn/Stevenson a earlier tonight.

He thought GSP is going to beat Penn based on size and athleticism and his recently earned bjj blackbelt. Then I explained a little bit about Penn's bjj credentials and showed him GSP/Penn 1.

If an in shape Penn comes to fight, I feel bad for GSP. I'm wondering what BJ is going to weigh coming into the fight? Will he be ripped at 165-168 or will be he a bulky-in shape 170? I read somewhere that he said he was coming in with 9% body fat..?

Who said "No technique"? Learn to fucking read... of course every pro has technique and GSP has great technique in the grand scheme of things, but compared to Penn who has almost perfect technique GSP's greatest assets are his physical abilities rather then his technique.

I have no argument eventhough I can name specific flaws in GSP's techniques and your only argument is that you are assuming that I have never seen GSP fight or I personally don't like him? Get a fucking clue kid.
