like i said before (keep repeating myself, i don't know if im not making things clear or what) his cardio played a factor in the fight just like his eye poke in the first round-had gsp not got poked in eye he might have done alot better in the stand up game-even so his stand up wasnt too bad, just because gsp looked more bruised doesnt mean he was getting completely dominated, i mean gsp did land alot of good shots including a spinning back kick right to the mid section, he hit bj with a few hard shots but theres something wrong with bj's head lol, i dont think i ever remember him looking bloodied or bruised in the face and everyone knows he's never been knocked out, that guy has a brick for a head man

aside from that, bj's cardio will play a factor in the second fight as well, i mean in the 3rd, 4th 5th rounds gsp is gonna have an easier time taking him down then in the beginning of the fight for two reasons: one, its natural for a fighter to get tired after 3 rounds especially fighting at gsp's pace, second, gsp's conditioning and cardio is a lot better than bj's, he's just a freak athlete - unless bj doesn't get worn out the entire 5 rounds (which is almost impossible) then gsp is gonna get pretty much every take down attempt in the later rounds

GSP does need to work on his head movement, bobbing and weaving, whatever. Fitch tagged him a few times, and cut him, and John isn't the best striker around, certainly not in BJ's class. In addition, I think GSP would do better using more kicks against BJ, kick him in the gut/liver where's he's a little bit soft, plus it will keep B.J. away and maybe gas him out. Front kicks too, keep BJ at bay, frustrate him. I'm not sure what BJ's stats are for takedowns, but considering GSP's TDD, it seems unlikely BJ will take him down.

No need to list BJ's strength's or strategy, like many people on this forum have said, when he's in shape and focused, look out!

Just because they're not in MMA doesn't mean they don't suddenly exist) then that means I got it 12 years later and had to WAIT to receive it(Dustin Hazelett received his in 6). Odd. You might wanna read the statures, rules, and such in regards to the BJJ association because the AVERAGE time to attain a blue belt alone is between 3-6 years(depending on how much skill you have and attain) so how would it be impossible for anyone to attain it at the age of 18-19 years old? I not only have proof of tournaments I've competed in, medals, my belt presentation video recordings, etc...

I agree with this, but many people that have been watching MMA for 10 years and never trained, can tell you almost as much of what is going on as someone that trains. I mean I am no doctor, but I can tell when someone has a cold, sinus infection, flu, etc...just from being around it.

I never once mentioned rank and infact I was talking about MMA and not BJJ...

I have never encountered a BJJ black belt that outright made a point of telling everyone they were a black belt. It's called being insecure and needin attention... even if it's from a bunch of people you will never meet with over the internet.

I am going to make one more statement about my part in this deal because you and I have sent pms and I assume that we have worked out our differences. I responded to your initial post in a manner that was trying to take up for the guys on the board that do have a clue. I did not try to make it personal in my initial post. Your response to that post stated that I was questioning your logic, which I never did. All I asked of you was to show some specific examples of what you were referring to. Then in my next post I still did not make anything personal or come at you in an angry manner. I simply stated another opinion that actually agreed with you. In your response to that post is when YOU made it personal stating and I quote "Hrm. Seems you just liek to hear yourself speak because that is exactly what I pointed out. " Also, you talked about the lack of intelligence on the board. I am a member on this board so I can only assume that you were directing that at all members. Maybe I took that the wrong way or maybe your choice of words were wrong. It basically escalated from there. So stating that I "came out of the wood work because I was guilty" was far from the truth. I was simply having a discussion that you took to another level. I know that you and Palma's discussion got into more name calling than ours and I believe you let those feelings bleed over into our conversation.
