I think Lindland is a good addition. Adding talent is always good, but that means Swick doesnt get his shot. I have a problem with that.

Lindland is certainly a million times more deserving of a title shot than Swick.

I think this would be good for the UFC, think of the possible match-ups Lindland can make. Lindland vs. Silva, vs. Franklin, vs. Ortiz, vs. Sobral, vs. Liddell. I would love to see him in the UFC just because the UFC needs some more top tier guys while their younger talent developes.

Chonan would melt Franklin. Chonan has good standup and can actually take a punch, that is a dissadvantage for franklin when he fights anyone with a chin. Chonan has a great ground game as well. I would take Lindland over Chonan but I would put the house on Chonan over Franklin, styles make fights and that is a bad matchup for Franklin as A. Silva could not KO Chonan and is much cleaner pucher than Franklin with just as much power and much more accuracy.

Lindland deserves a shot at Franklin. He felt that Dana was denying him that shot a while back (if I remember correctly).

Didn't Lindland get his ticket out of the UFC over some bullshit about a shirt he wore? Seemed really petty and a stupid reason to get rid of him.

Deserving of a shot where? This is the problem. Swick bought into the UFC bullshit and has been an "exclusive" fighter. It is ridiculouse to not give him the shot, and not let him fight in another organization. He has beat everyone they asked him to fight. UFC owes him a shot. Have Lindland fight Franklin first. Doesnt sound like he is coming over for a while anyway.

i don't know if swick exactly deserves a title shot, but hell....why not. who else is on a roll right now like him as a mw? he's a good fighter, been beating good fighters. and he requested it, so give it to em. i just don't think that it'd be that fair to bring in lindland and feed him a title right away. have him fight some other dudes 1st.

Holy Hell. Can we all just stop narrating everything Dana White does? People speculating about what a guy was *thinking* when he did something is complete trash. Maybe Dana White is controlled by aliens... or maybe the KGB. Maybe he visits with Jimmy Hoffa's ghost. Who the fuck cares? The guy's trying to improve the level of competition in the UFC by bringing in Lindland. I don't care what he's thinking. It'll make for lots of great matchups.

I don't like swick, i think he is highly over-rated and hasn't been tested in the cage ( i know loiseau, but he didn't fight his fight, he fought swick's), with that said i still feel that he is deserving of the next title shot (even tho he's gonna get eaten). i think lindland needs at least 1 fight in the ufc to earn his shot (a la silva) even though he is a better fighter than swick

also i'd like to add that bringing in a hired gun to knock off the new champ is bs, i think alot of this will be going on b/c the belts are gonna start changing hands soon
