And this isn't even in Noons defense. The guy pissed me off so much over this. Noons should try having a rematch with not acting like a fucking baby instead of Nick. His EXCUSE for not fighting Nick was ridiculous. Wish he'd stick to boxing - Like I said, in boxing, he'll be able to duck whoever he wants - when he wants.
I hope this fight never happens, to be quiet honest with you. Wouldn't think any more or less of the winner. I was rooting for the Alvarez fight because Eddie would have tore EITHER ass up. He would have brought some real credability to that title.
Don't really care for the two other clowns in this discussion.

I can't really argue against your point, I'm not the biggest Diaz fan either. And yeah, Alvarez would of made either of them insignificant in hurry.
I just feel that the win was hardly decisive. And I don't want to see MMA turn into boxing with guys ducking each other and destroying fight momentum with money disputes. The fans want to see it for the most part, and a champ should make it happen for them. That is how you attain a fan base. Not by having a belt, but by being in the fight people want to see. People probably know and respect Diaz because of the Gomi fight, not because of some gold around his waist. The belt gives you legitimacy to casual fans which is a tool you can use to gain notoriety. But it is not notoriety itself. Because after all, who the hell cares who has the Elite XC belt anyways? Especially now?
If Noons beats Nick again, then he has 2 wins over a well known and respected fighter with a big fight vs. Alvarez on the horizon
and a belt. And even with the demise of Proelite, another promotion would of made that fight happen because more people would be clamoring for it. If he fought Nick on the last CBS show then he had a chance to showcase himself for millions of people, and a win would of just made him a little more respected. Now, he has none of that. All he has is a doctors stoppage nobody will even remember in a few years.
Noons needs to learn that money fallows reputation and drawing power not necessarily meaningless titles. And the way to earn those things is to fight. He can't expect to make nearly the same as someone who is known worldwide and has 10 UFC fights under his belt,
right now. KJ only has 9 fights total, and half of those are very small shows with little recognition.
