If the money wasn't right then it didn't make sense. You should pay your champ, especially after he had a successful defense against Yves Edwards. That's quite a bit more impressive than Corbbrey and Denny.

Either way, EXC was a bunch of freaking idiots who were trying to market fighters with personality rather than wins. Nick is talented, but he was beaten HANDILY prior to the cut.

Fighters are paid on what THEY can draw. Diaz's paycheck has nothing to do with Noons.

C'mon Mac, Diaz has a solid resume, especially for a 25 year old. A lot better than Noons for sure. 10 UFC fights with 1 classic Pride bout.

Though, I can't argue he does talk better than he fights. And Noons did turn his face into hamburger. But haven't a lot of people done that to Diaz and lost? Gomi comes to mind. Dude's face isn't exactly leather.

Yeah, Noons beat Diaz for 5 minutes, but that is only 1/5th of the total fight. Diaz has never been stopped, other than the doctor stoppage against Noons. So he would have been in it until the end for sure. And with his huge edge on the ground, there is no reason to believe he couldn't have won that fight. That is about as logical as assuming Noons would win again, just because he got the better of Nick for 5 minutes.

The bottom line for me is that he won on a doctors stoppage. I don't believe Cote would beat Silva if you gave him 100 chances, but I believe he deserves a rematch as well. We have seen plenty of fights where someone getting their ass kicked on their feet went to the ground and returned the favor there. So why not have a rematch?

It's a fight, and haven't we all learned that anything can happen?

It really should bother all MMA fans when people don't give Noons his props. He beat up "The Great" Nick Diaz soundly. The win was completely legit. It doesn't matter what Diaz's record was. It doesn't matter how much money Noons made...what matters was Noons punching his face over and over again until one eye was closed and the other one couldnt see because of the amount of blood gushing into it. What matters is Diaz reaching for a take down but grabbing air instead of Noons' leg. This wasn't a stoppage like other cut stoppages. This wasnt a freak cut while the rest of his face was perfect. Take MMA for what its worth and understand why fights are stopped and like someone else posted...watch the fight over and over again until you understand how bad Diaz got beat up. It was worse then pretty much anyone has done to Diaz.

I don't really care to see Diaz crawl around on his ass like a crab again. He wouldn't have that cut that stopped the fight if he didn't get bashed in the face. He may have that fighting spirit and his mind still wanted to fight, but his face... was done. It would have been inhumane to keep that fight going.

Maybe Noons comes to UFC.

As far as Diaz, I really don't like him or his brother's attitudes. They seem to be stuck in the highschool frame of mind and need to grow up and get educated. Blowing up and throwing your fist up ready to fight everytime anything is said or happens isn't how to conduct yourself as a fighter or a human being. They constantly prove their need for a G.E.D everytime I see them and although they can be funny, it's only because I'm watching it on Tv and don't have to witness their ignorance in person. Neither are the greatest fighters, and their actions and rants are a big piece of why they are so known in the mma community. I have been impressed with the Diaz's performances in the ring, although, not everytime, but, almost everytime, I am not impressed with their performance after and before the fight.

I know some will be pissed that I don't praise the Diaz clan, but, they bring this stuff on themselves. Dana White always gives them props as fighters, but worries about professionalism.

Really, Nick reminds me of that jackass on the new TUF that jumped the cage. He could be a little blonde Diaz. No class whatsoever.

I disagree... Noons landed two solid shots that cut Nick open and one was a knee when Nick went for a takedown. Nick landed more strikes got several takedowns and pushed the action. No way Noons won that round imo.

Witchdoctor - Actually, Nick Diaz talks about as well as he fights: and that's the problem, haha. The internet's in LOVE with Nick Diaz. Luckily people are starting to critisize him more instead of bawling over every little marijuanna zinger Nick's got up his sleeve.

And this isn't even in Noons defense. The guy pissed me off so much over this. Noons should try having a rematch with not acting like a fucking baby instead of Nick. His EXCUSE for not fighting Nick was ridiculous. Wish he'd stick to boxing - Like I said, in boxing, he'll be able to duck whoever he wants - when he wants.

I hope this fight never happens, to be quiet honest with you. Wouldn't think any more or less of the winner. I was rooting for the Alvarez fight because Eddie would have tore EITHER ass up. He would have brought some real credability to that title.
