Sengoku - Roger Gracie Accused of faking Injury
Source
Quote:
Sengoku have put out a report on their web-site basically accusing Roger Gracie of faking injury.
Here are the accusation points:
-They requested an official doctors certificate and CT scan showing the injury.
-They requested Roger Gracie to come to Japan to be examined by WVR's doctor
On both these points Roger Gracie has failed to comply and WVR/Sengoku are considering penalties.
In addition to the above points:
-For a scheduled phone conference Roger Gracie's management did not call in.
-Roger Gracie's doctor told WVR staff in a mail September 20 that there was no break or fracture detected and a CT scan was not done in order to determine the extent of injury.

It sounds crazy. It's hard to imagine a Gracie faking or giving up based on their reputation alone.

It just shows how far the Gracies have fallen from Grace and the the MMA spotlight. We can see there influence on the sport but they are more an more becoming part of MMA's past.
If you don't change with the sport you eventually become just an after thought or just a remember when statement.
The Gracies are just to stubborn for there own good it seems.

So if your father's 3rd cousin did steroids that means you are faking injuries?

Just a joke, easy there. Royce is a GOD but that doesn't mean we can't make fun of them now and then, and you know what I think of Roger.
Just seems there is a pattern with Gracie's, they think they are owed something, maybe they are.

What, his statement was just fine. Talk about ignorant. Its true, you either move and evolve with the sport,or you get left in the dust. Look at Ken, Royce, Matt Hughes, even Chuck is looking to be out of it.

For me, it's equally hard to imagine any bonafide doctor breaking doctor/patient confidentiality to discuss a case with the media.
Based on that alone, I'm inclined to think Gracie isn't faking anything.

Wow and you are single mindedand missing the big picture. i guess i hit a nerve there huh.
Have you not noticed that outside of the gracies disciples They are fading out. yes they are one of the authorities in BJJ (not the only ones i might add ie nog) Hows the rest of there training going do they bring in top notch muy thia or boxing coaches, and out side of serra (being a disciple) i may be wrong but the the stockton camp diaz brothers are a gracie camp do come to mind and they do have other tools besides bjj. The Gracie's are def not what they used to be by a long shot is all i was saying and there are so many Gracie's its hard to think some of them have not evovled the way they should to stay on top the game.
