How is Huerta, or even Guida, a more "proven LW", than Diaz? He is 5-0 in the UFC - neither Huerta nor Guida have beaten anyone of higher competition than he has. I believe they are right on the same level. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see him fight one of them to open more doors for either winner, but I don't believe that either of their stock is of any more value than his.

The consensus seems to be Guida, and I do like the idea of that fight. However, I really want to see him and J-Lau go at it. That is guaranteed to be top 5 fight of the year candidate. Those two are always looking for the finish, and they both set a furious pace. That fight is the best potential matchup for the fans.

Actually, Lauzon [v] Diaz sounds awesome. Both coming off wins and I remember Diaz wanted to fight Lauzon on TUF 5 show.

Huerta was a win away from a possible title shot so obviously he was a more proven fighter. Huerta has only lost once and that was to Kenflo. Seriously, when is Diaz gonna fight a proven UFC fighter?

I, honestly, just want to see him lose all ready. I don't like his lame cockiness nor his lame fights...sorry if this bothers Diaz fans, but I don't like Nick either.

well he's already been tested against a wrestler in gray maynard, albeit when they were on tuf.
this may be a bit early for him, but perhaps nate vs the winner of sherk/griffin? the neer fight served to put nate against tough guys and let him grow as a fighter. |
