I'd say the Salmon head kick was worse, but JESUS the audio of chuck getting caught with that punch is just fantastic.

Wow, some of you guys are really getting off on this KO....

Anyway, it was a bad KO... not the worst one in MMA... plenty of worse ones. Likely top 10. If Chuck didn't turn to his side and end up on his face, it wouldn't have looked as bad either.

Hell, Jardine getting mauled by Houston looked worse lol

More than anything, it is a shocking KO, because Chuck has never been laid out and he has been hit by some of the hardest hitters out there.

Still like the Tank Abbott ko of John Matua at UFC 6, absolutely brutal.

I was so shocked by the KO and the way that it completely put Chuck out.

I think the CC getting ko'ed by GG is one of the most brutal KO's I've ever seen because of many reasons: 1) huge upset (2) ko'ed by ur own move (High kick) (3) lights out for CC and especially (4) with the way that CC fell... fell backwards on his ankle... seemed to blow out his ankle and knee.

Rashad definitely has the two of the most brutal ko's of all time though: chuck and salmon. Chuck being a big name who has never been laid out like that is what make this such a big deal too.

and firm, how was BJ's knee on Sherk worse, that didn't even lay him out cold. It was the punches right after and the rumble on speers was a flash KO. A devestating KO like that is not seen that often.

I wish I saw the rashad fight but the most recent decent KO that I've seen was at the affliction payperview when Josh Barnett ended his fight.

You say 'if chuck didn't turn to his side and end up on his face' like Chuck planned on going down the way he did. The fact that Liddell was down for several minutes afterward puts it up there w/ the, I don't know if 'best' KO's is the best way to put it, most devastating KO's in years. Who else has been KO'd in UFC recently that was down for several minutes? Only ones that come to mind are Evans/Salmon, Sylvia/Telligman and... yup, you guessed it and those were all a while back.
