Yeah, CL's work ethic has always been a concern, but more importantly, he has not utilized his entire skill set, especially his wrestling. Over confidence I suppose? I wouldn't mind seeing him fight say Houston Alexander. Alexander overall seems rather limited with the exception of his striking ability, giving Chuck at least the chance to display other parts of his game, against a guy who has also been beaten pretty convincingly. And Alexander is also a stricker first and foremost probably giving Liddell in my view a chance to win and win with is "improved" game plan or KO power?

Its weird because prior to the Evans Liddell fight everyone was saying oh..Rashad has not fought any good competition and all he can do is wrestle, yet he showed he is tough to hit and he did hit Liddell with a couple nice jabs early before the KO punch..Then when he does KO Liddell ( who is good competition) everyone says it's luck.
In my opinion Liddell would beat Forrest and personally I dont htink Forrest will have one title defence. And I see the belt being passed around like a hot potato. But what do I know Im just a University athlete with liek 3 posts.
Im seeing Rampage getting his belt back. Ive never been a fan of Liddell but after seeing him get KO'd like that I respect the man and hope he goes on a string of wins and fights Jardine again lol But Rampage is my pick to get the belt back and keep it for a while.
By the way how about palhares' slam of Henderson..not bad eh.. He's gonna have a great future man
Back to Liddell though. I guess that he may fight someone like Rich Franklin, Houston Alexander, Keith Jardine again, someone who still is a recognizeable name but also fighters that would leave hima good chance at defeating...
Just my 2 cents

I just wish they would make Rashad vs Machida In a couple of months to see who fights Forrest. But at the same time, there is no way in hell I want that LHW title inactive for so goddamn long. Its complete bullshit.
Does anybody realize that in 16 months, the LHW title has been on the line 3 times? Thats just not right man. It seems to me like the MW title is the only title on the line consistently.
Answering the question though, I think Chuck's just in a bad way. The gameplan that he had that made him so successful, just isn't working anymore. He hasn't finished anybody in almost 2 years now, and he's 1-3 in his last 4. I don't see him fighting at HW, I think his best option is just to start at the bottom to regain some confidence, and work his way back one last time. Next loss should be his last fight though IMO.

Liddell has always or at least consistently been an exciting fight to watch fight to watch and last night seeing how Rashad came out and fought against him put me at the edge of my seat. I hope chuck comes back a better fighter and if he stays at lhw (i don't seem him doing much against the larger HW's if he moves up) and fights a few guys like Alexander, Irvin or some new blood from the wec to get some wins unders his belt.
As a realist though how much time does he have to come back like that?
he would have to fight every three to four months. He got stung by the injury bug and looked too aggresive for his style, either rust or predictablilty i could only guess to why. Thats not a slight to Rashad he was not lucky at all he set the tone and got the better of the exchanges up to that punch.
I think they will put him against some tougher comp though other than what i mentioned probably the winner of jardine/vera or if Wand loses a rematch with him and just a guess T silva when he can go again and liddel will be a co main event or the last three fights the next time but not the Main event. I think a change in scenery would help but doubt anything like that will happen.

Just remember you heard it hear first. Chuck is going to need some time to recover from that awful KO he suffered. I will give him at least 8 months before he fights again. First and foremost, also remember that Chuck at Dana are tight friends. Dana has been Chucks manager for sometime.
So My prediction is that Dana will sign a fight to have Chuck fight one more last time against the one and only SPIDER SILVA! That is correct. You wait and see, once Spider disposes of Cote, they will have a catch wait fight or just have Spider move up to 205. It would be a huge draw and I for one would def pay ALOT to see that fight.
