Tito Ortiz Defends 'Rampage' Against Ibarra

In an Interview with PDG, Tito Ortiz chronicled one of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s reasons behind the firing of former trainer Juanito Ibarra.
“Let me explain this to you because it really pisses me off that Ibarra has done what he has done, he is a thief,” said Ortiz. “I have been running training camps for seven years up in Big Bear California and the most that my camp has cost a fighter to attend is $35,000. Ibarra was charging Jackson $65,000 to go to Big Bear. I don’t understand that! He was being very disrespectful and taking advantage of Rampage. Including travel, training partners, food and lodging, the most ever was $35,000, maybe if you flew in more trainers… 40K. Where did that extra money go that Ibarra was charging? Rampage is really pissed and he feels betrayed that he was taken advantage of and I couldn’t agree more with him. I don’t care if Juanito reads this or hears about it anywhere, he already knows that he is blackballed. I don’t care who you are; fighters work very hard for the money they earn and I feel slighted for even knowing Juanito.”
White Chocolate Management (who also represents Jackson) had filed a $10 million lawsuit against Ibarra and Jackson for alleged breach of contract by the two. Jackson has now all but been removed from the lawsuit since since firing Ibarra.
Jackson also recently signed a three-year agreement to train out of the Wolfslair Academy that is based out of the United Kingdom and is the home of both Michael Bisping and Paul Kelly.

$35,000 really puts wins and losses in perspective...

Well, the $35,000 that Tito was talking about must have been for when he trained with Ricco. That food bill couldn't have been cheap.

And if Rampage was paying $65,000 for the training? Then that's what it costs. IMO training with Juanito would easily be worth twice what training with Tito should be worth.

I always thought that Ibarra looked a bit on the shady side, hope Kongo turns on him and crushes his face.

Tito Ortiz: Juanito Ibarra Is A Thief « MMA Fiend

Quote:

Juanito Ibarra is a Thief

A few days ago Tito sat down with PunchDrunkGamer.com and had some choice words for Rampage Jackson's former trainer and mentor, Juanito Ibarra:

It has been weeks since Ibarra and Jackson split, and we still do not know the full story of what went on between the two of them that caused things to go sour. So far this is the most detailed information on the subject we have gotten, and it vibes with the majority of the speculation around the situation: that Rampage was bilked out of money by Juanito, who took advantage of his control over Rampage's career, betraying the man he claimed was like his son.

65k to attend Juanito's training camp? Why the hell would Page pay nearly double as oppose to Tito's training camp? But I still don't believe that this is the reason that lead to their falling out. There has got to be more to it, than just this.
