while BJ is leagues ahead of anyone else in the UFC LW division, it's a shame that he can't put the beatdown on many other top contenders to further solidify his spot. anderson, gsp and the entire cast of LHW #1 arguments all have great competition to face.

Probably because his last 2 losses were against arguably the number 1 pound for pound fighter on the planet, and to the number 2 ranked UFC HW champion.
I dont like Sylvia whatsoever but I wouldn't argue him being there.

And who has Tim beaten besides Arlovski a couple years ago. He's 1-3 his last 4 fights and he barley beat Vera while Vera had a broken hand. Yes his three losses are against good competition, but still, he's obviously lost it. He's boring now, his last three wins were all decisions and he has no killer instinct anymore. I think HW #6-9 would beat him. I dont know much about Sergei but I'm sure he can beat poopy pants too.
Just sayin.

I believe Henderson faught Jackson at LHW. Your right he is 0-2 in his last two fights however only one was at MW. The other at LHW.
Besides another point you brought up was his inactivity in the MW division that is holding him down.

just out of curiosity, in cases like hendo, are we counting the MW pride fights like the last one against wanderlei like his current fights like the anderson one? the weights are very different, wasn't pride MW equal to UFC LHW?

Yeah these seem pretty good. Only names that jumped out at me that are missing are Pulver and Florian. Maybe it is because I am a US based fan and don't get to see much of the lighter guys over in Japan, but I can accept that they are the better in general.
