Default Radach vs. Ninja on Oct. 4th EXC CBS card

Radach to Fight ‘Ninja’ at EliteXC-CBS Event

Benji Radach will fight Murilo “Ninja” Rua on the Oct. 4 EliteXC card, Radach has told Sherdog.com.

The bout bolsters a lineup packed with star power. Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano, in addition to Jake Shields’ title defense against Paul Daley, will headline the event, which will air live on CBS from the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla.

“I expect to do well,” said Radach, whose scrap against Rua (16-8-1) will be the first on his three-fight deal with EliteXC. “I hope to win this fight and prepare myself better for the next couple of fights.”

Radach, a UFC veteran known for having heavy hands, has taken the middleweight bout against the Brazilian on shorter notice than usual. He also has not fought since late December 2007, when he was knocked out by Matt Horwich in an IFL title bout.

At 18-4, the promising 29-year-old is excited to get back in the ring after the IFL’s demise.

“My plan is to make as big of an impact as I did in the IFL,” he said of his future with EliteXC.

Should be a pretty good fight, but I think Ninja wins it wherever the fight goes.

i hope im wrong but i dont see Radach standing much of a chance against Rua, especially afterhow long a layoff he's had.

I think that is what Elite is hoping for. A guy with some what of a name getting pounded. Then agian he is only a name if you ever followed the IFL.

Ninja should outclass him in every aspect of this fight, not to mention Radach hasn't fought in about nine months.

Why Dimson, do you know who Benji Radach is?

If Radach wants to get his career back on track, a win against Rua would do it for him.
