New Rule: No Negative Political Avatars or Signatures

You can still have a sig or avatar that supports a candidate but you cannot have one that is against a candidate.

Hopefully this will be enough to stop the arguments as we get closer to the election.

This isn't to punish anyone, but to make the forum a better place for people who want to discuss MMA.

This is absolutely ridiculous, a huge attempt to limit freedom of speech. You won't allow intelligently designed avatars/sigs with political points to them--not terribly upsetting or offensive avatars/sigs either--but you have no problem with some of the avatars/sigs that objectify women? I think this is an instance where you and/or some of the other moderators just personally like Obama and therefore want to squash any opposition to him, given that these sig/avs are against him.

I think you can say what you want about political figures but keep it in the politics forum but just not letting offensive sigs and avatars anymore because of the drama it caused yesterday.

A) You must be forgetting the avatar calling Mccain a douchebag that started alot of this trouble?

B) This is a private website, free speech is inherently limited and doesn't even apply here since you are still free to say whatever you want, just not here (Edit: For the love of Fuck's Sake how many times do we have to reiterate this point?)

c) The "Objectification of Women" has not started any fights that led to members being banned.
