I watched it again, and it doesn't look like a clean punch. Kinda like a pushing punch/palm strike. And no doubt he rocked Hughes, you can see his knees start to buckle. But I also see the thumb of the glove going past Hughes eye. I think it was a poke to the eye too, totally unintentional, imo. Though, I think hughes would have been done for if that thumb hadn't hit his eye. the way his knees buckled and with Penn's heavy hands, he would have finished it for sure. |
