NO you fuckin dumbass it is different between Rich getting injured BY ANDERSONS KNEE then BJ twisting his body and getting hurt! HUGHES DID NOT INJURE HIM. Getting hurt while ur ass is gettin kicked like Franklin is different between rolling on the ground, twisting wrong and having a rib get seperated.. if Hughes were in that fight AT ALL it would be a different story but he didnt hurt Penn in the first 2 rounds, Penn seperated his Rib rollin around.. it had nothing to do with Hughes so it is a viable excuse and no matter how you look at it

BJ PENN >>>>> MATT HUGHES

he is the better fighter, better striker, better on the ground.. and Matt Hughes cant beat him without somethin fluke happening HE HAS YET TO PROVE HE CAN end of story, go learn how to fight.

I dont care what anyone says oh bj dominated the first 2 rounds, so what. It is a 5 round fight not 2. Not one person can garentee bj would have beat matt. He was tired in the gsp fight and this one had 2 more rounds so imo i think matt would have got him in the 4th or 5th round, but again i cant be sure neither can you. But somthing im 100% on is that matt beat bj end of story.

he lost fair and square to Pulver, Lyoto, and GSP but they were all very close fights.

10 times out of 10, thats a bold statement, and proves u do not know as much as you think about fighting. anything can happen in a fight because there are so many variables. if you knew fighting, you would know there are no certainties, only probabilities...

if i rememeber correctly he was bitching after the fight with pulver and said somthing later about why he lost, again i might be wrong so dont take my word for it. as for you saying bj can beat matt 10 out of 10 times at 100% well matt beat him once. Doesnt that kinda ruin that theory because bj came in at 100% but got hurt during the fight, not one fighter can step in the ring and walk out 100% getting hurt is part of the game.

i don't think there's a guy on here that "counts matt out" everytime he fights. thinking that penn and gsp can beat him is within the realm of reason because they're both great fighters. its like thinking cro cop can beat fedor. sure, fedor's the fave, but cro cop can do it on the right night

Well Afro I guess we'd have to give him that we dont' really know the outcome since it was a 5 round fight. It was clear as day Penn was dominating in the first 2 rounds. Penn was for sure getting tired but he also had the rib injury. So it either would of been that Penn lost due to being gassed and Matt taking advantage or Penn would of somehow prevailed even being winded. This is the reason fighters never can just have 1 fight... excuses will flow like crazy till a best of 3 or whatever is determined. Thats why we are still having rubber matches from fights that have happened over the years. Anyways that was my $.02

Watch the GSP fight, he gasses at the end of the 2nd round and NEVER drops his hands or fights like he did in that 3rd round against Hughes. BJ came in excellent shape for his fight with Hughes, he knew his cardio was off after he lost to GSP and I refuse to believe that any fighter fighting for a world title after knowing they need better endurance doesn't train their ass off to be where they need to be physically. He got hurt by fluke and Matt capitalized. I'm not going to take anything away from Matt for that but I want to see Penn not have a freak injury like that and face Matt. Matt gets sent packing.
