This is from the lukecummo.com forums. It was in a thread where his forum members were stating their opinions of his last fight (and loss) with the barn cat, anyway, check out what he had to say.

I wrote down some points based on what's been said so I could make sure to get it all in...
1. Thanks you all for your support and input. I really appreciate you here on the forum - you make the site, otherwise it would be a blog!
2. My weight: its time for me to make the drop to 55. I was 164 lbs. (sometimes lower at the end of a hard training day) in my shorts the weeks leading up to and the morning of the official weigh-ins so I loaded up with stuff to get closer to 170. I put on my steel cup and put magnets in my shoes. The electric scale in my hotel room read 169.5 so I thought it would be good. Those things are notoriously unforgiving though (my wife was glad that it read a few lbs. over because that meant she was less too!). My weight obviously was the same on fight day. During the fight my opponent did feel heavy on top when I was trying to elbow escape (get back to guard), although if I trained like I did for Stevenson (start out in bad positions at the end of every session) it would have been a little easier. Lesson learned. No matter what, fighting is hard, and my opponent also was tired, so keep that in mind - I was doing most of the work!
3. Some people (like Rogan) are unsure of my pre-fight practices; i.e. nutritional fasting. This is what I do for training, so that's why I do it for fighting. I've had a slow metabolism for years, so if I were to eat anytime close to a session I would get a stomach ache. When I fought Anthony Torres on TUF 2 I ate my last food 6 hours before the fight and I had gas (incomplete digestion) during the fight, so when I fought Sam Morgan I ate 8 hours before. Ever throw up during training? You wouldn't if you had nothing in you! This is what I've learned from experience - I can only push myself to the limit if I have all my energy available for the task. Like some have said, many fighters wouldn't have survived that fight. My opponent was aggressive like I expected, but truly the only way to learn is through experience. I am much stronger now.
4. My progress through Jubb's Cell Rejuvenation is incomplete at this time. My last flush produced gallstones still although I can feel a huge difference in the fullness of my gallbladder and liver and also my metabolism has sped up significantly. Lifefood Nutritional Fasting (any healing) gets the best results when you can rest as much as possible. Here I am training full time as a professional athlete... I am finishing this program before I fight again. Once all the stones are out, I will spend two weeks discarding the false lining of the intestine and then do a 90 day parasite flush. There is also the matter of demineralization resulting from years of eating cooked food and burning the candle at both ends. This is what you see when it looks like I runs out of gas early. Imagine a radio-controlled car running on a low battery. This condition can have been covered up in the past by drug use. By drug use I mean the consumption of flesh and cooked food. Someone on this topic has described the drug-like effect of certain food. Eventually I'll be self-sufficient. You don't need this and that to live, but if someone stopped heroin cold-turkey they could die! True strength comes from within.
5. I learned alot from this fight. I'll just mention a couple quickly and I hope you will also add anything you noticed.
- combos: especially when I have the speed advantage, this is important.
- footwork: use to keep the right distance so an exchange occurs only when I choose.
- conditioning: I will be working some new drills combining weight training with technique to get that feeling of "giving it your all".
- jiujitsu: yeah I'm going to work more wrestling too. Jiujitsu is the best though.
SO WHAT'S NEXT?
- Right now I'm visiting family in California and trying not to binge too bad (think S.A.D. diet). In a couple of days we're going to drive to Arizona to visit my in-laws and I'll be back to NY next Thursday to teach at 7pm (DEP can you and Conan split up the next two MMA classes?).
- My wife goes back to work (teaching 4th grade) soon so I'll be Mr. Mom again for a few months. I'm looking forward to bonding more with my son as he develops - its really amazing!
- I've got a couple more MMA Mafia designs in the works that I can focus on. My aunt is helping put the finishing touches on the shorts - we're going to do a fight short and a short that has pockets (for anytime wear). These things are so comfortable and durable!
*anyone that I promised a free shirt to send me a reminder.
**if you want the family discount on shirts order now. The price listed is $5 cheaper than what its supposed to be. I designed the 2 shirts on the right of the store. My partner came up with the lame "...we hit you" design. Whoops did I say lame? Sorry George, stick to business, let me handle the design. I failed out of art school }:-D
