The last fight of the night was Georges and Fitch. Georges didn’t look as big as he has before and he seemed like he had gotten tired from the first round. Fitch had the game plan of countering Georges and you just can’t do that. You can’t counter a quicker fighter. To be honest, halfway in the third round I got up and walked out of the arena and went to my hotel. The fight wasn’t the most exciting and I wanted to get out of there before everyone else was getting up to leave.
Are you kidding me? For a guy who once ripped into Rashad Evans for showboating and being disrespectful this seems incredibly disrespectful to me. Maybe Matt just realizes MMA is quickly passing him by and he can't handle the pain. On the other hand he's probably the master on what not to do against GSP.
I can't believe the audacity this guy has...wait a minute, oh it's Matt Hughes...yeah I can believe he would do that. Hahah, what a joke. Not impressed...c'mon give me a break. That's an adverse psychological reaction from Hughes because he probably truly hates St. Pierre for embarassing him twice so all he's doing is trying to compensate for that feeling. LOL
What he should have done is stayed and studied what St. Pierre was doing. As a matter of fact, I would like to see Hughes - Fitch.
Hughes has again reminded me of why he's my least favorite fighter of ALL TIME! how could he not like that fight? i think he's more jealous of the fact that GSP molested him in a bad way twice, and Fitch is such a touch SOB that GSP just couldnt do the same to him he did to Hughes.
Hughes is an asshole, and i hope Serra embarasses him into retirement!

Hmm...maybe that's his version of a delayed response to GSP stepping into the cage saying "I am not imprezzed by your performanze." That, or he knows he can say all the shit he wants to about him, knowing that he'll never face him again. I liked Matt during his run...still do. But leaving mid-fight? (if he really did) That's a little...what's the word? Tactless? Classless? Either way, uncool. That was a pretty good fight, so to hell with the need-to-beat-traffic excuse.

honestly, i think hughes was right. he was expecting it to be a back and forth battle, and it ended up being a one-sided fight. he never said gsp wasn't impressive.
That guy is a joke, fitch would rip hughes up. He is still waiting for the serra fight because he knows it is the only moneymaker he can win, and his wife "really" wants the fight as well.
