I thought he fought pretty good, after that eye poke and all.

excuses excuses... Penn was owing him the first round regardless of the eye poke. Penn is simply a much better striker.

I'll give you that, but GSP is way more athletic and I think Penn can't handle GSP right now. But B.J. is a tremendous striker... and I think that's his only chance. He won't beat him on the ground, imo. I really can't see him standing up with him neither though...

But you never know.

It doesnt matter if GSP beats Fitch or not (I think he will, fairly easily), either way BJ vs. GSP II makes sense... if GSP loses it just sets against Fitchthe stage for BJ's first fight as a WW...

I agree that GSP is way more athletic and maybe Penn cannot handle it, but I don't see why he couldn't. He handles GSP the first time, he handled Sherk very easily, and he handled Hughes in his prime.

But I don't agree that Penn can't beat GSP on the ground... Penn is a better striker then GSP and much much better grappler then GSP.

I can see GSP winning with his wrestling and gameplanning, but Penn is just too dangerous and hard to gameplan for. It's too hard to call this fight. I will say in Penn's favor I think he can win by strikes or submission... as where I can only see GSP winning by a decision.

this would not be even close to his first fight at ww. He has fought as high as HW before. And he has fought GSP and Hughes at ww.

I'd laugh and cry if GSP loses to Fitch.
I'd laugh because not many people are picking Fitch to win, and I'd cry coz I wanna see GSP get his arse handed to him by BJ.

While I am a fan of both these guys, my first instinct tells me that BJ takes it. Either way it should be a war.
