I took that statement as an intentional affront to Penn, kind of a passive-aggressive start to the inevitable storm of shit talking that is due sometime around August 11.

That's because you are confusing skillset with strength, in the case of Diego. Someone as slow as Fitch isn't going to get a chance to use his strength against Diego...Diego has built his career on outmaneuvering stronger fighters. And yes, a healthy Diego is faster and more explosive the GSP--not as strong, but more uncontrollable.
I have no idea what you're talking about with Carneiro "outpowering" him, and I don't think you have any idea either. He caught him in a great, deep choke--technique rather than strength, and one of Roan's specialties--and Fitch literally powered out of it. No skill, no slick reversal, he's just as close to un-chokable as I've seen. If GSP had a fifth of Roan's submission skills, I'd favor him more than 60%.
Chris Wilson is another very big, very strong guy with great TDD...have you seen anyone else take him down easily? Or are you assuming that because it was his first fight in the UFC, he's a can of some sort?

i don't need to try and convince you that gsp's better, he'll show you on fight night.

I agree that Fitch can't make a single mistake if he want's to win...but I'm not sure who you're thinking were subpar fighters?
As JokerT mentioned, I'm favoring GSP in the fight already, but I'm still pretty sure if he comes to wrestle, we'll get to see how he reacts to being on his back.
