Cream of the crop: fights they lost......
Fighters who are considered to be cream of the crop, such as BJ Penn, Anderson Silva, Fedor, GSP, Urijah Faber - all of those mentioned have lost very few fights. What do you guys know about the fights they did lose? I am well aware of GSP's losses to Hughes and Serra, but as for the other fighters I mentioned, I haven't heard much about their losses.
Anderson Silva: 4 losses to;
Yushin Okami - illegal kick
Ryo Chonan -Submission (Flying Scissor Heel Hook)
Daiju Takase - Submission (Triangle Choke)
Luiz Azeredo - Decision
BJ Penn: 4 losses to;
Matt Hughes - TKO (Strikes)
Georges St. Pierre - Decision (Split)
Lyoto Machida - Decision (Unanimous)
Jens Pulver - Decision (Majority)
Fedor: 1 loss to;
Tsuyoshi Kohsaka - TKO (Cut)
GSP: 2 losses to;
Matt Serra - Technical Knock Out
Matt Hughes - Submission (Other)
Urijah Faber: 1 loss to;
Tyson Griffin - TKO (Strikes)
Has anyone seen these fights? What can you say about them?
We know GSP avenged his losses, do you think the others would as well?

Fedor avenged that loss, and if/when Silva fights Okami, he'll avenge his as well...if you can even call that a loss.
And Faber would probably beat Griffin if they fought again.

IMO, Faber shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Fedor, Anderson or BJ Penn. They are veterans of the sport and Faber is a young gun who is on the rise. It's ludicrous to have him lumped in with 3 of the best of all time.

Fedor avenged his only loss too. It was a beat down.
Penn did avenge his loss to Jens. And he is 1-1 with Hughes and would beat him again. Not sure he will avenge his loss to GSP and especially not Machida, considering Dana is not going to let BJ fight at MW or LHW
Anderson would beat all of those guys now I believe. Chonan and Okami might give him some trouble. I mean, his fight with Azeredo was his first MMA fight.
Also, I wouldn't really compare Faber with GSP, Anderson, Fedor, or Penn...

If he avenged that loss, it's not even mentioned on his own official website.......
Fedor Emelyanenko. Biography

I'm inclined to agree with this.
Faber is good no doubt. Great even.
But he's kinda got that big fish/small pond thing going on.

One other thing to point out with Fedor is the cut was caused by an illegal elbow and should have been called an NC or a win by disqualification.
Imagine the uproar if Fitch beats GSP with a knee to the head of a downed opponent and still got the win...something like that.
