Okami Breaks Hand Again; Cote to get Next Title Shot

Man, I am pissed off by this. Cote will get destroyed in two minutes or less. I will be Leben v. Silva with a little more backpeddling by Cote. Okami is one of the few men in this division that can actually put up a decent fight against Silva, but he can't stay healthy. It sucks

well cotes a better striker then leban, imo he will be the best striker silva has fought in the ufc, should be a good fight , cotes got a good chin with big power.

I don't think Cote's striking >> Rich Franklin's striking, and Silva demolished Rich twice.

imo cote is a better striker then franklin, it would be a upset of the year no doubt. do i think it will happen? no way, but i do think it will be a good fight until cote goes out anyway, hes not ready for silva

Okami is the only guy left in the MW division that when Anderson wins would totally clean house and plus the Cote/Almeida fights just shows that cote does not deserve a shot, he got it by default and that fight was a embarrassment.

Okami at least would attempt to get the fight to the ground and GnP/outwrestle Silva. That fight would be a clash of styles (which Silva would win) rather than one fighter who has a marked preference for one "mode" of fighting and who will be severely outclassed in that "mode".

You are 100% correct...Cote's whole game plan is to stand and fight, which you do NOT want to do against Anderson Silva. There's just no one out there right now at 185 who has a realistic chance to beat Silva in a stand up fight. The only real chance (and it's not a huge chance) is to take him down, control him, and GNP or sub him. He's no slouch on the ground, but it's definitely the better of the two options.

At least Okami would have tried to take Silva out of his element. He may not have been successful, but he would have tried. Cote is going to try and out strike him which will just not happen.
