Not true Kewl144. Think about it. You have got to have noticed how many of the Pride fighters completely suck up to the fans. It's really over the top. I don't think that this is confined to the US alone. It's a human thing.

The boos I agree with. I hate that. The UFC events have become like other sporting events in that the prices to attend have become so high, that it's not the biggest fans attending anymore, but those with the most $. Have you noticed that during the prelims and sometimes half way through the televised portion, the seats up front will be empty. At the smaller promotions, it's a completely different story. We get there early.

Have you not read any of the other posts? It would more than likely be so he can relate to and have a fanbase here in the U.S. that aren't hardcore fans of the sport already. It's easier to relate to someone if you're an everyday fan if they speak the same language as you, plain and simple.

Haha, dude when the British came here, they didn't learn to speak Sioux...it'll be ok if Indigenous Americans don't learn English!

And it will be ok if Silva doesn't learn English either. He will greatly internationalize the image of the UFC if he has a good title run (for how ever long that will be). Even if he wanted to learn English, it would be tough for him to be proficient enough to interview well (unless he's title run was really lengthy!).
