Yea, hah. I had forgotten Rampage had "bet" his entire purse on it - Hope the next interview(er) calls him out on it. Bummer though, I was rootin' for Rampage.

It's called hyping a fight, and what I think Matt Serra said it best on TUF 4(never thought I'd say that)
Marc Laimon: What about Royce Gracie? He talks down to everyone because they haven't been in 3 fights in one night
Matt Serra: What was Royce suppose to say leading up to the fight? "Im going to go out there and get my ass kicked"?
I even counted Forrest out in this fight

Man most of you guys are taking what Rampage & Juanito said too seriously. Who cares if Rampage said this or Juanito said that. I doubt Forrest took offense to it, as he understands that it's a business. You fans should understand that as well. Juanito is a damn good trainer and Rampage is a damn good fighter. I don't blame Rampage for feeling like he won that fight, on quite a few scorecards including mine, he won 48-47.
just watched both fighters comments after the fight. I scored the fight exactly how Rampage did. Furthermore people don't jump on my balls or talk shit about Rampage thinking he doesn't know how to score a fight. This is the same Rampage that tried to give his trophy to Ninja after Ninja lost what was one of the worst decisions in the history of the sport.
Rampage knows you can't leave it in the judges hands, he was well aware of that vs Ninja and was on the lucky end. This time he wasn't so lucky. Forrest also knows about close decisions, it's a 50-50 shot man. Over Bonnar, under Tito.
I hope there's an immediate rematch. Chuck can fight Shogun in Dec while Rampage fights Griffin. I would be very happy with that.

Forrest already had been disrespected enough by fans and even by Shogun, who apparently felt he could dispatch Forrest Griffin on a seriously bad wheel. He didn't deserve for Juanito "you make him fight you" Ibarra to blatantly disrespect him by saying he'd retire if Forrest won.
Given that he did disrespect him in that manner, the least he can do now is keep his word.

Keep his word? Relax pal, they never shook on it.

I think people should really shut the fuck up about what this fighter said vs. what that fighter said in an effort to hype the fight. I got most times respect for most of you on this board but damn please!
Any of you saying, he should man up? Are you ready to put your own livelihood on the line in an effort to "Man up"?
I'm not just talking about fighting. I'm talking about damn near any time you said something stupid, and it came back to bite you in the ass?
"I'll cut my own nuts off if that there sure ain't a man!"
Turns out my cousin fucked her and it is a woman! She just got a hatchet face and some body hair.
"I'll walk butt naked in the streets if they don't win the super bowl!"
"It's too cold outside for that shit and I can't afford to get sick, I got work the next day!"
You're boy won the damn belt. Everytime you see Rampage's losing record you'll be reminded of his loss. That's not enough?
He should fight for free?

It's all the pre-fight trash talk. How much is scripted and how much is real talk is debatable. It's just pre-fight stuff.
Look at Tito and Chuck. Hell look at Tito and Shamrock, BJ and Pulver. They hell hate each other the whole time before they fight, talk nothing but how much they hate each other and then they fight. Once it's done, they hug and everything's back to normal.

Right after the fight Rampage said he got his ass whooped. He didnt start saying any of the shit about bad judging until his trainers and all told him they felt he won

For fuck sakes, do I think Rampage should give his purse to Forrest and Juanito should retire? No. But, that was some bullshit when Rampage got pissed at the decision on TUF and said that shit to Forrest. Does Rampage look stupid for saying that? Yes. Is it okay to call him out for it? Yes. As far as Juanito goes, don't say you're going to retire if your prediction about your fighter doesn't come true -it's not only extremely disrespectful, it's borderline retarded. I am all for pre-fight hype, but in essence they both made outrageous wagers and lost. It isn't hating to point out the egg they now have on their faces.

....it`s a differ`nt story when someone puts up a promise involving money. That seriouse business and Rampage needs to man up with that paycheck imo. The thing about Juanito people should just let go,but definetly not the money.

I agree with you 100%. They do have a ton of rotten egg on their faces (the kind of rotten that smells like horrible farts) and Rampage no longer has the title. I think that is bad enough. No need to fork over a bunch of money or retire in this scenario.
